    Feedback Casters being interrupted due to mob movement.

    I'm sure there may of been something on this before. I assumed sense its been on going that it was a known issue, or something. But just encase it hasn't been mentioned here it is. Playing a caster job can be a nightmare if a monster moves AT ALL. Say your tank gets a knock back, while your casting a spell, and if that monster moves too far, you will be mysteriously interrupted. Even if the monster is still in range, even if the monster was moving in your direction. This is a serious bug that needs to be looked into. There's been a few situations where the tank goes down, and people may try to kite. While a mage picks off the monsters. This cannot be done very easily, because 90% of the time, you must be casting on a monster, that randomly decided to stop to use a ability. I mean if its working as intended and they don't want us using kite strategies fine. But good lord please look into this. It's been like this sense alpha. And I know it has something to do with these "Grids" they talked about in the past, that had to do with why we couldn't see odin/behe in the past. I know this must have something to do with the monster moving into a new grid, while your casting. I don't know the full technicals but please look into this. So irritating being interrupted for absolutely no good reason.

    Also forgot to note, there are also some special areas, where if you, or the monster is standing, you can't cast on them at all, you immediately get interrupted.

    casts only get interrupted if the cast is extremely close to completion (around 80%+) and you are not facing the mob you are trying to cast upon.

    I've had myself casting, an enemy went to my right side but not to my complete right side, just a middle zone in between my front and side, and the casting was interrupted. My character's head could tilt 5 degrees and he would be easily still looking at the target, but it got interrupted even though it was still very much in my field of vision. That's just dumb honestly myself.

    It's not really a bug. It's that unlike games like WoW, your character doesn't automatically turn to face the target while casting.
    Solution? Right click and turn your character towards the enemy at all times. Unless their movements are so erratic that they're going through you constantly then it should work most of the time. And if that's so, you're probably not standing in the right spot.

    It only works with standard camera setting though. I like legacy a lot but unfortunately playing as a caster I'm forced to use standard just because of this.

    I'm not sure if what Seobit said holds true with controllers since I don't use them but you could change your left and right strafe keybinds to Move Left/Turn Left and Move Right/Turn Right.
    (Actually yep just tried it and you will need to change to Standard type movement to Turn and not Move)

    So...just use your left thumbstick horizontally in that mode and your character should turn.

    Yes, you can turn. But the solution described above doesn't seem to be quite as simple as explained. I've turned quite a few times as a mob runs past and still been "interrupted". I'm not sure whether it's due to a slight lag issue or some other reason, but it's very frustrating.

    Most likely lag yeah. It's not foolproof but unless SE implements a constant turn to face target mechanic, there's not much else you can do.
