    If it's restricted to 20 or less groups at a time than this is beyond pathetic. No excuse for instance content to not be brought up to at least semi-modern standards. If this game ever gets on track or is suppose to with a decent population it NEEDS to have at least 50-100 slots (1 slot = 1 group). Yet again SE with their asinine restrictions... Of course it's too early to judge I know, but going by FF 14's/SE's track record including Yoshi's I guarantee there WILL be lines even with our limited population atm lmao

    This should not be an issue one bit, yet if this turns out that there will be limited low amount of slots, it WILL break alot of peoples hope for this game and turn away even MORE new players looking for a mmo to call their home. Regardless of funding or hardware there's no excuse for having to wait in line for instanced content these days and it's been this way for awhile already. Guess we'll see when it's launched... but if it does launch this way gonna be LMAO'ing at all the fanboys defending this action which I'm sure will happen. There's already some people in this thread that.... LoL

    There's always a limit. The more popular the higher chance that limit can be reached. Nothing has infinite resources.

    It's only a problem for the first month or so...afterwards I'll doubt it's an issue. The party restriction will make it more stringent.

    Say 5 instances can be run at the same time. The chances of all 5 being used at the same time is only likely within the first week after introduction. After that, I'll doubt you'll see more then 3 teams going in at the same time.

    Yes but they're building the game for the FUTURE... with a half A$$ed population 5 will NOT be enough o.O That's barely enough for the current... 5 is a sad low number compared to what it needs to be! ... LoL

    You'll be surprised how high that number is when you build a game long term, aka FUTURE.

    When you only have 2 dungeons, yes it sounds high, but when you have 20. It's quite low. Given that they are 1hour dungeons runs. 5 might even be an over estimate.

    Sure you can scale extra power to new released dungeons to increase the size limit, but probably only temporary is needed.

    It's such a small issue in this day and age. Though FF14 will have to push more content for it to be realized.

    Guys, anytime there is new content, expansion, whatever, it is always a logjam at first. Nothing new here. Soon as they can fix it they will. And to be honest, I doubt it will be that packed anyway. You get 1 chance then 24 hour or so cooldown so that should break it up a bit also.

    Good info! ^^ So pretty much will follow the FFXI's instanced areas' system. I just hope we can have more parties at same time than in FFXI...or will end like Nyzul during weekends or like BCNMs when diabolos was released, where only those with less lag were able to enter.

    Do you understand ANYTHING about server load and how these things work??

    Obviously, no.

    And no, I'm not a fanboy defending SE's actions. Trust me, there are plenty of negative qualities of this game that I'm upset about. Instead, I am someone who understands the limits of our modern technology. In other words, I'm somewhat educated and mature. And I understand that SE cannot pull future technology (at a profitable cost) out of their asses.

    wow i wonder how quickly these LOL "instances" will fill up. i can imagine there being a small handful (4-6?) paths to take throughout the dungeon. with only that many paths to take, just how many instances of this "dungeon" will be allowed to exist at once?
    5 parties max per instance with a total of 10 instances maybe?
    is it possible for a party right behind you to not only catch up but pass you on your own dungeon crawl?
    its sounding more and more like a dynamis system, this is very bad news if its true.

    If there is a limit to the number of groups that can do the same instance at the same time, this will be beyond awesome.

    That would mean SE managed to fail even something as basic as instanced dungeons.
