In XI and GW2, the LS/guilds I was in were kind of a huge network type thing. Lots of sister LS/guilds attached. That meant interacting with tons of different people all the time. More so than most. And the thing I heard all the time was "Do you ever talk? Why are you so shy?"

So in this game, I decided to advertise that I'm shy. But I still wanted to stick to lore as close as I could.

Now I mostly hear/see, "Wow. You really are shy."

It fit so well, my XI friends stopped calling me Aaralyn and default to Shy all the time now.

For my female avatars, Isaria is usually the name... I just think the name is pretty (until I found out it was a name of a fungus)

Male avaters I name Skeith because, err, no real reason.

I came up with the name "Straigus" randomly, on a random day, naming a random character, on a random MMO, i played for 3days. My last name "Reyist" I made up because i wanted it to flow with my first name.

I think my name is pretty unique. ^^

Since I have two avatars, I will describe for both of them.

For my first one, it was simply a matter of stylizing my real name to make my first name more Germanic and my last name more Old English as a way to recognize my family heritage because it is something that is very important to me.

For my second avatar, once I discovered that "Lancer" was the name of a playable fighting class, it made me think about my high school because our sports teams are called the "Lancers". So my second avatar's name is basically a wording of the initials of my high school.

Suzuko is basically the name I want to name my future child if it's a daughter, and Seki is the last name of my best friend.
