I really couldn't think of a name at all! I just finished creating my guy and stared at him thinking of a name that sounded like a match. Eventually I thought Victor, and liked the spelling with the K better. The last name I literally just made up on the spot, nothing really influenced it. I just randomly thought of it and it sounded like it would flow okay.

Mine was from another game, wherein you could only pick surnames from a list. Forename was one I'd used even prior to that, from an attempt to slap together an eastern-sounding name. Turns out it's an infrequently used Japanese word meaning 'joy'.

That said, the other Kietsu Ravenheart was not three feet tall. Had I known a bit more about race lore in FFXIV, I might have picked something more Lalafellesque. But hey, she's foreign, so I declare I'm allowed to get away with it.

I've used the name Ilitsa in just about evey mmo I've played, as well as rpg that allow me a female avatar in, when I needed a surname, I tossed around a few ideas before deciding on using the surname my fiance uses on her characters (She always goes by MidianKurono on games, and did so in this one as well), which worked out after the eternal bonding thing got implemented, as for naming conventions, I knew them when I made my character's name, and purposely avoided them for a story idea I had at the time.

L'rydia Khiryu
I chose Rydia for my character's first name because I was going to main Summoner and wanted to homage my favorite Final Fantasy character in her name somewhere. I eventually settled on L for her Sunseeker clan letter, as I felt L'rydia had a nice ring to it.

I used Kiryu as her last name because it's a name I've been using in games and RPs for 10 years now, slapping a H in it to give it a more Miqo'te feel.

I've since simplified it to Rydia Kiryu, for both RP purposes and for my FC mates.

I'm a Coram in every game I play. Llen was originally Len but I thought having two L's made it look prettier. Not much else to it.

Way back in XI, I was a Hume. During my time playing I heard of the legendary myth of getting better drops if you had a Taru in your party. Something about a racial Treasure Hunter. Well, I took a break and when I came back, I made a Taru. Named him Lucke. I wanted the "e" to be silent, but people still pronouce it as Lucky. When I moved to XIV, I made a Lalafell named "Lucke". Some people think I named him after "Locke" but that's a coincidental spelling.

"Arrayo" comes from the first name of my very first MMO character ever. First MMO was Everquest. I was a Vah Shir (the cat race) named Arrayo.

Lucke Arrayo carries 2 legacies: The XI character and the EQ character. It was almost meant for me to be a Miqo since my first character ever in an MMO was a cat.

Lucke Arrayo is pronouced "Luck Are-ray-oh"

I have used Kaira in every game I have played for the last 16-17 years, I let my husband choose our surnames incase ingame marriage ever became available, Now we are married ig and inrl *Dones pretty Shiny Rings* <3

Anyway my name was pretty much something I made up on the spot :3

I clicked the randomize name button a couple times and settled on this. Used to be a Hellsguard roe.

I am horrible when coming up with character names so I used the name generator till I found something. Though recently someone suggested that I should change my first name to Walter and main as an Alchemist don't know what that was all about (j/k)....
