Richter Valens: Richter means "judge" in German, it was the name of my FFXI character so I carried it over. Valens taken directly from Chloe Valens from Tales of Legendia (my favorite sword wielder in the Tales series). Valens is like valor, so strength, etc. I though it was kidna cool to put in with Richter (judge of valor? ) Then later someone pointed out to me that it's also really close to the singer Richard Valenzuela, a.k.a. Ritchie Valens. Not that I'm complaining, but it made me laugh since I hadn't even considered the similarity xD

My alt is Tanith Aurion. Tanith (Tanit) was a Phoenician goddess of war, the moon, and fertility iirc. Was the deity of Carthage as well. Aurion from Kratos Aurion in Tales of Symphonia. Aurion means "morning" in (ancient?) Greek, if I recall.

I used an online anagraming tool to rearrange the letters of my real life name into a name that's suitably Hellsguard Roegadyn-ish as according to FFXIV naming lore. It's not perfect; apparently female Hellsguard usually have a flower or plant for the second of their two names, but I like it.

First name is an MST3K reference. I've used it (and various other punctuations) in MMOs since FFXI. "Kai" is the Greek symbol for "and." Didn't want both my first and last name to be long & annoying to type.

Reohart is an alternate name for the Pink Rathian (AKA Rathian Heart) in Monster Hunter. I liked the way it sounded so I generally use it for my female characters. As an added bonus it's something that didn't sound girly when shortened for when people talk to me on voice chat. Redstarr was randomly generated (and tweaked) when I created the character (Originally a highlander).

My Super Novice on Ragnarok Online was named Zyrin. His full name was Zyrin Piri and I RP'd him as a character trying to hide his heritage as a cat boy since he was ostracized in his youth as being a hybrid Human / cat. I took that name and converted it to Zyrin Pyrial since I wanted to sound less cute but still retain the original name sake.

How I came up with Zyrin in the first place? I dunno, I think I just wanted something that started with the letter "Z" and went with it.

[EDIT] Piri came about because during his time out in the field, he ended up befriending a rather eccentric Alchemist by the name of Valencia Piri who ended up "adopting" him (IE, forcing him into her family) because he was just SOOOOOOO CUUUUUUTE WITH HIS CUTE CAT EARS (her words, not mine, heh), hence how he became Zyrin Piri.

[EDIT2] My forum name, Ghishlain came about since that's my XI character name which is based off a minor character portrayed in a book series I like, and loved the way it sounded (Ghislain)
