Because Iveriad has been my username everywhere and I came up with that name using an anagram of my last name.

When I first started, I was going through the character creator and marveled at the FemRoe's. They're HOW tall? That's amazing! They're like Valkyries...!

So I wanted to name her Brunhilde... but then noticed I'd need a second name. Well, damn it... How about Brun Hilde? Yay! Not taken!

Started in the wrong city as my friends - and since I was so new, didn't realize that I could just delete the one I'd just made, use the same name, and voila - new starting city! So I went for Brun Hilda instead, and it's stuck. My Sea Wolf Valkyrie, ready to kill everyone!

She's not a FemRoe at the moment (as of last week), but it's only a temporary change. I wanted to see how long I could last as something other than a Female Roegadyn. Hyur Highlander isn't too far of a stretch, at least. (But I really, really miss seeing my character tower over everyone.)

It's a long story...

Upon launch of the game (read: Where creating a character let alone logging onto a server was so difficult that you had to use any and all servers just to be able to play the game. Yes even the JPN servers), I was creating characters on any server that I was able to. Then when it turned out that my League/FC/Guild would be in Midgardsormr, turns out that I already had a character there and I've already made a good amount of progress with her. So "Aria Reis" was my main.

Then the name change service came.

Almost immediately, I took this opportunity to change her name into which I wanted in the first place: Xiaomu Xiang (I really like the name Xiaomu, and Xiang just sounds so well with it).

The same thing with Xiaoyu. I was trying to go with a twin thing with them only with one being a Seeker, the other a Keeper.

My name was inspired by the game Vagrant Story which was a Square game exclusively made for the original Playstation.

Damascus was name of the final metal type that fused steel and gold.

My last name was something me and My husband came up with back when we played gw2, (eriza) since we wanted the same lastname, azalie was just obvios as i work as a florist ;D (and Ofc gavs her a little ponytail haircut with little aeris reference colour to it)

My character name is Mayoi Mori <--- Zelda's lost forest :3 my other character on the japanese server is inspired by the mai otome anime series

The name came to me when I was creating a Charr for Guild Wars 2. When I started up XIV I kept the name for my miqo'te as it seemed pretty applicable.
