Turn 2 Enrage strat? Ermagerd, too hardcore!

I formed a turn 2 party finder group today.... I don't form party finder groups myself usually, but I do often join them.

Two people that joined had a *big* issue with the fact that i didn't specify if it was the enrage strat or not in the party finder (yet they joined anyway). It only had one tank spot listed, so I thought it was obvious. Also, has anyone *ever* seen a non-enrage group for turn 2 in party finder.... ever ever ever?

When i mentioned the fact that I only had one tank... he still didn't get it, and left, and tried to poach the people he had seen in my group into his... telling me off....

So I'm actually curious, is there some strat where you pass rot on turn 2, that involves one tank? And if there is, why on earth would you want to do it that way? I guess it was my error have faith in the understanding of teh interwebs...

He might have assumed that one of the DPS/healer will switch to tank to go into turn 2. It happens when party leader ends and make a new PF when people are on off-jobs to level. Technically, passing rot doesn't requires 2 tanks. 2 tanks is for trading stacks. People try weird strategies when they have the fights down but I have never ever seen a non-enrage turn 2 in PF on our server.

If there was a way to do it right with one tank? Why? Because it would be faster. Passing Rot is already faster than cheesing enrage. With an extra dps, it would be even faster as well.

It can be solo tanked. The Tank doesn't gain stacks if his Adloqium and Stoneskin absorbs ALL the damage from the hit that applies the debuff (so it does 0).

Oh for sure, can do it with Titan EM as well, my point was why you would do it.

I saw a Rot group for Turn 2 in PF yesterday. It filled and cleared. Shaves like 5-6 minutes off the run as long as no one wipes

It's not even difficult to do either.

Well the difficulty can vary. But with engrage your waiting 7-8 minutes. In that time frame you can technically beat turn 2 a second time with rot strat. Also You ask why do it, when two posts above your question, someone explained why. If you are good enough to do just one tank, its a extra DPS, so it goes really fast.

Edit: my bad your answered your own question lol

Maybe so, I just recall one time, we pugged two people for our coil static in the past through party finder. We had one week, before they removed the lockouts, that two people were out of town. So they got two more through party finder, and good to go right?

With the static group, they usually just passed rot for turn 2, because it was just faster that way (don't have to sit there for 7 minutes). So they asked the people they got in party finder: "so you guys know how to pass rot right?". They both said yes.

Well, long story short, the group wipes in short order, with: "We thought you said you knew how to pass rot!" and they both said: "Rot?" They also stood in the green puddles in turn 1, which started a meme in our free company that the green puddles buff you in turn one, but *only* if you pop blood for blood while standing in them.

You can apply that same situation to engrage groups. They don't always get it. And if you fail, that's another 7-8 min wait time to try again.
