i70 vanity gear in new dungeons.

Gonna go ahead and call this a complaint thread straight off the bat. I've been farming the Shikaree set since the start of patch 2.2. Literally doing nothing but running the new dungeons. So far I've gotten enough philo items to equip an army in i70 craftables. Have I seen an Army's worth of Shikaree's Bodies? HELL NO! In fact, I'm pretty sure I've run more of these dungeons where not a single piece of darklight OR new i70 has dropped AT ALL than one's where I've seen darklight/new stuff in any amount. This system sucks. Flat out. Is. Terrible. Boss chests shouldnt be dropping philo materials. Plain and simple. Put the crap in other chests if you really want it to come from these dungeons. But bottom line...it's lame as hell to run a dungeon where out off all the chests....minium....cooking sherry...voidsent blood...nothing else.

And once everyone has all the armor sets they want, they'll be wanting the Philo items to drop. I've seen plenty of WP runs where every piece of gear that drops got passed on. That's going to happen with the new dungeons eventually.

Edit: nvm people will greed them to convert to seals. but if it's seals they're after the philo items give you 2500 worth of seals vs. 800 or so.

Philosophy items can't be turned in, and as such give 0 seals. They cost 2500 seals.

If you're gonna value them because of their value in seals, then I'm going to value darklight more because it vendors for 220 gil instead of 18 like most of the philosophy items. Therefore it would be better for i70 gear to drop from chests right?

20 ilvl behind? It's equal to entry level raiding gear. You can start coil in full i70. You can completely clear coil in i90, save for maybe T9.

Most philosophy items in the market board - around 3k gil
Darklight items in the market board - 0 gil

As example Coke sell for 3500 gil currently on Ragnarok

I agree with OP! Been farming expert roulette tirelessly since launch of 2.2 for Dragoon chest, and have nothing but filtered water to show for it. Keep the mats in the dungeon chests where potions would usually drop, but there is no reason for boss fights to drop craft materials.

My biggest complaint. I on a day of being blessed by the Twelve managed to get the Pilgrim's Robe from my Ampdaor roulette yesterday. Previously Diablos only dropped filtered water. -___-

46 runs of halatali hard sind 2.2 and I havent seen fistfighters breeches not a single time. Do they even exist? are hey even worth the trouble? idk but i made about 500k gil thx to trade in for seals and potash/animal fat/coke so i got that going for me which is nice.

If anyone has ever seen the fistfighters breeches to prove they actually exist, I would appreciate it...

Philo mats are useless if you want the seals to buy anything other than philo mats - like ventures.

@OP: I agree completely. Keep the philo mats to the side chests and let the boss chests drop gear and nothing but (or gear + a chance at a philo mat, but not either/or).

yes, i ran the new dungeons for the first time this weekend. it would be nice to not have gear sets and crafting mats competing in the loot list. i mean can thses not go in chest with the potions?

i dont know its kinda lame to beat the end boss of the dungeon and Voila: cooking sherryx3

In seriousness, Theres no problem with the drop rate. They aren't specifically vanity sets. They're legitimate i70 gear for players to gear up with. I think the gear needs to drop more often than the crafting mats, but it's fine the way it is.
