All good suggestions, re living the Battle of Carteneau would be a great addition to the game, and agree a lot with the floor (and ceiling) prices for items on the market-ward.
As for 24 man raid content how about Dynamis Gridania :P ?

Rather than Battle of Cart, I'd like to see 24-man stuff that is like CM and Prae... Larger and more complex with additional mechanics...
Cannons, magitek, etc.
An assault on Garlean strongholds...
So you're saying that if a player wants to sell a HQ item at (only) 40% over the NPC purchase price they shouldn't be allowed to? And what if people aren't buying at 50% above NPC price? Then you think players should just sell it to a NPC?
That doesn't make any sense. Free markets are best. If a seller and buyer agree on a price, you shouldn't try to stop the transaction because the price doesn't benefit you personally.
Its just a suggestion, SE doesnt have to have a 10% and 50% floor. But its a starting point to get a discussion going. If a buyer just ignorantly puts up items at extremely low prices then that ruins the economy. What they should do is look at the market board and compete with the other players, just don't drop the price to almost nothing. If someone is going to sell items for NPC value then go sell it to an NPC. The reason a buyer agrees to a sellers price this way is that they are taking advantage of ignorance. So you're saying that if a player wants to sell a HQ item at (only) 40% over the NPC purchase price they shouldn't be allowed to? some ppl sell some items at or below vendor trash just to help out and not be these greedy money grubbing backstabbing players who would sell everything including their grandmother for the top value possible + 200% or sometimes too all they want is to level and make a 99 stack of something then just sell it quick to get rid of it. I do this a lot my self. has nothing to do with being competitive...Ill post huge amounts of low lvl mats that iv collected doing w/e for vendor price just to help ppl out. stop being greedy...Its just a suggestion, SE doesnt have to have a 10% and 50% floor. wow seriously?? who says that the ppl trying to make some gil are "greedy money grubbing backstabbing players"? who says im being greedy? I spend alot of gil on the boards and in turn i hope to make a lot more, if i was greedy i wouldnt spend any money. FYI great MMO's have a good economy.some ppl sell some items at or below vendor trash just to help out and not be these greedy money grubbing backstabbing players who would sell everything including their grandmother for the top value possible + 200% or sometimes too all they want is to level and make a 99 stack of something then just sell it quick to get rid of it. most people your talking about post raw materials. You can post 123 star and materia most of all for huge amounts of gil plus crafting gear, gathering gear, crafted relic weapons. So yes complaining about unfair market prices on a mass surplus of items or someone just wanting to get rid of something for w/e reason is just greed. It's like you selling pepsi for a 1.50 then I still make profit selling it for 88 cents to make money.why should someone be forced to post an item at a set price if its theirs.May as well tell a person they're playing wrong and then tell them how to play their character.b/c hey every other person knows exactly whats best for that person to be doing.wow seriously?? who says that the ppl trying to make some gil are "greedy money grubbing backstabbing players"? who says im being greedy? I just don't understand why players do not have the initiative to make more gil. Instead of selling items at an extremely fast pace and driving the economy to the ground, they should do a little research and make a lot more gil for themselves. Research takes less than 30 seconds...thats it! The difference could be hundreds or thousands of gil.
Im not suggesting to get rid of the free markets, what im suggesting is making more gil for players.![]()
sorry about the long post...SE and their forum limitations
People will purchase HQ items at a higher cost, they will. For example its more convenient for a player to buy 10 HQ fleece than sit out there and fight over sheep. I know its a small number but its the same concept. I have seen several HQ items selling for 1 gil, now that should not happen.
The market is there, people should use it to make gil not dump items there that you could simply sell to an NPC for the same price. Besides some of that stuff people are loosing out on, such as the market tax. There are some players that sell items for NPC value and then get taxed on top of that so they are actually selling it for less than NPC selling prices.
SE doesn't have to take my suggestion, but they do need to come up with a better solution than prisms to fix the economy.
