Atmas - Taking the fun out of gaming.

Atma farming is boring, under-stimulating and unrewarding 99% of the time. IT'S JUST NOT FUN. Games should be fun. Atma fate farming was a very, very bad idea and everyone is voicing that.

Furthermore, you get through that hell, and then you have to spend even more time doing even MORE OF NOTHING - waiting for fates to pop. Standing there in a game, waiting. WAITING. Who plays games to wait?!?!

Then I think... How many relics there are, and how many times this hell must be repeated for each job... O.O

It makes me mad that the developers of FF think that I/we don't have better things to do with my life than run in circles repeating the same, boring fates over and over, or logging on to do nothing and wait. Life's too short to be this let down and pissed off by a video game. I just can't do it... I'll never get my atma. And if that's the case... I'm done progressing in this game I guess. That makes me sad. After all the work, and all the fun I had, it's come to this? So... immensely... disappointed. ; ;

Yup, but there is a small extremely vocal group of players who think random chance and extended periods of grind is fun.

Why not just level another class while you wait for the que? Or try playing another class you enjoy? Tanks and healers get much faster ques than DPS. You can also try making friends and running the dungeons with people you enjoy being around.

This is about grinding sub-50 FATE's as a Level 50, with a Relic Zenith weapon, for an item that has a 0.000000000001% drop rate. And you need 12 different versions of said item. After that, you get some Book for a huge amount of Mythology tomestones, and you have to camp specific FATE's.

I tried Atma farming yesterday. Gave up within 2 hours. I am probably never getting my Atma.

I did mine already was pretty fast one zone was very long that was upper La noscea took me till 5am to 8+ pm after I got that went to a few more they dropped quick and northern dropped archer.

I didn't see any hassle, you just gotta blank out your mind and deal with it, I remember FFXI days where I was broke and had to farm enough money to craft two mindless things that took forever in that game but I did them I didn't say this sucks I hate this its boring I don't wanna do this anymore I just did it cause having stuff handed to me is just like using a game shark.

That's no fun at all. I can understand some stuff SE does like gimping runs because of people being left behind but the fates thing is alright gotta put A plus effort into it that is all.

Currently, yes. But! SE has already said that updating your relic is going to be something available in each patch so it would have to be done eventually. Personally, I think the Book should be something you can buy with the seals from your perspective GC. Have to have SOME kind of use for all those extrea seals...

It's not about completing it in 1 day or 30 days, it's about the pointless grind just to prolong the gear progression.

I'm all into prolonging the gear progression, but this kind of method just doesn't make sense.
