NPC Chat Bubbles

I couldn't find the suggestions forum so here goes. Since SE is already allowing us to stay online permanently (until 90k at least) and added endless dances with differing sit and idle stances, it would be nice if they also added that when we are AFK or something, our status message or a message of our choosing will appear like the NPC chat bubbles when we are approached by other players. Players could then AFK in their FC housing with nice welcoming message, or scary ones. Or play out a storyline with their friends that people could discover like other NPCs. I think it would add a richer feeling to Eorzea.

I would like to have party chat bubbles. Never really look at chat lately because no one ever talks anyway haha. But when they do I want to know what they say

Or you can just type /afk before you leave, and you'll have a nice red chair next to your name so everyone can see that you're away. Type /afk again when you come back to remove it.

They already said no on player chat bubbles, has nothing to do with "PS3 Limitations" - they simply do. not. want. it. XI is an 11 year old PS2 game with 5 expansion packs and 9 mini add-ons and get monthly updates along with systems that not even XIV ARR utilizes that was designed on and for the PC - Nothing is being held back, you have to remember that what the developer wants or doesn't want matters as well.

I know that. I'm not talking about an indicator to be away, but an addition to that to give the world more flavor.

It's an aesthetic/design decision, not a technical limitation.
Personally i like chat bubbles and prefer to have them implemented with the option to not display them if a player doesn't want to see them, but then it's not my game, so it's not my decision.

Related to memory limitations. You can try looking up the post about it from the community manager to get your answer.
