Good less people on the servers. It's Been getting quite laggy recently a couple of hundred people should quit because of ATMA. There are no other alternative weapons in this game.

Yeah, less people means less money Square is making. Good logic! Who needs money anyway?

Honestly if you sit around playing MMOs looking for a reason to quit maybe you should go out and exercise or take salsa dancing classes? Maybe the physical activity would cure your fatalist and dour attitude? Giving up on a game because there's something in it you don't want to do, it's just ridiculous.
If this style of grind causes a significant drop in subscribers or if people simply don't do it, you probably won't see it in the future. However "I'm quitting" posts have never and will never be representative of actual account loss, it's just upset people venting and hoping they can ransom some change out of developers that allows them to get an item with avoiding whatever they don't like about how everyone else is getting that item. I'm tired of seeing MMO development decisions based on forum histrionics and people taking themselves hostage. There's an item in the game which is obtained in a method you're unwilling to participate in, you don't receive the item, get over it.
By all means if you think this thread has something to add to the Atma discussion or is meaningful player feedback, then feel free to chastise me for telling these poor folk to get over it. Though I think the majority of people who have an issue with this grind would be best served by thinking about it less, not more.

Seeing as we're handing out unwanted, condescending advice here maybe you need to re-read your statement and have a word with yourself. Continuing to play a game that contains content you don't want to do is ridiculous. I mean, you play games to have fun right?

That's no option. If your level is too far away from the others in your group, you get 0 EXP. And people do FATES for EXP, not for the joy of doing FATES. At Level 22 you also do not need GC seals that much or better said, you reach your cap very soon.![]()

It's just one thing, it's optional, and further it's going to be made easier. You actually quit games when you don't like one part of them? Do you walk out of movies when you don't like a single scene?
Further this "Well you play games to have fun" thing, will you stop it? It's a video game not heroin, it doesn't need to produce a constant stream of endorphins to our doughy brains. Parts of games can be frustrating, challenging, or even feel downright impossible. Adversity actually belongs in games, and well this ATMA grind is a rough grind but all you people arguing against it by pitching 'zero adversity gaming' are just embarrassing yourselves.

I keep saying that it's the feeling that you aren't progressing that's killing this idea.
