Time Machine: FFXI JUN 14 2003

As we ponder the state of FFXIV, with hopes for a spirit of new life to overcome it, I was thinking of what FFXI looked like back in it's initial arrival to the scene. What did it look like? What was the 'pitch' as to how special it was? How did they outline the classes?

So I dug up one of the most important sites on the web... web.archive.org as it features the WayBack machine. This site has been taking snapshots of the web for a LONG time... and guess what... FFXI is included.

ya... the time machine has been working since the 90's so for what ever reason they ffxi just wasn't being crawled. Whats funny is looking at the first google.com page.

Heck yeah...those were the days! I even had the Japanese PC version imported a week after it launched there, {I think I paid nearly $200} and damn was it a bitch to set up, but it was awesome.
