If you have a PS3 or PS4, in one of the EXTRAs menus there's a "PC DOWNLOAD" option. This turns your console into a temporary webserver on your local network so you can download the prepared zips from the disc and extract MP3 formatted music.

Ripping and burning music is pretty simple. Just use any media player like windows media player or iTunes...real player has a converter that can make them into mp3.

If you have iTunes it is pretty easy. Just put the disk into your computer.

A screen should pop up that says "Import all songs on the CD" and you click yes. If this window does not show, you need to find the CD icon which I think is normally near the top left? It looks like a disk.

A list of songs names should appear with checkboxes next to them. You uncheck any song you don't want.

You have to be connected to the internet to have the song titles actually show, instead of like "Track 01." This also happens though if iTunes can't find the tracks in its system but I think all albums are on iTunes so it should be fine.

Then you want to click the "Import CD" which is normally near the top right.

    Then you wait.

If you do it this way, I can help with pictures because I do have a CD I need to import.

This won’t work with the FFXIV OSTs unless your PC has a Blu-ray Disc Drive. All FFXIV OSTs are Blu-ray now. You can, however, use a PS4 to extract mp3 files, but you will need a method of transferring them to a computer (USB drive). Or you can purchase an external Blu-ray disk drive for your PC.

Yeah, I have to use my PS4 for these, but I believe you press the square (?) button to open the extras menu. Then what I do is I use the network option to bring up the IP address link that I can plug into my computer's browser and download the tracks through there. It's a little roundabout, but it works.

Thank you for this post. I picked up the ARR OST and was disapointed to see that it was all music videos. I didn't know that the actual song files were also on the disc.
