Atmas are required for a quest where you can upgrade a zenith weapon to a atma weapon. Once you are at level 50, have a Zenith weapon and have the quest, you can find specific Atmas (for each zodiac 1) in specific areas from a random FATE.

RNG means Random Number Generator, most used to descripe how a program simulate random content (random drop, random spawn, random numbers and so on)

    Thanks for the info.

After reading up on this some more it seems people hate the long grind this can have. All I can say is if you have played Everquest back in 1999 when it first came out there is not a grind in any game you cannot handle. That game was king of the grinds. Hell just to get the Journey mans boots it took me 4 days of camping for them and i'm not kidding. That was just one of the many items I camped days for.

Gamers today can't handle the grinds that use to be in a MMO game years ago. Long live the KING OF GRINDS, HAIL EVERQUEST. LOL

THANK YOU!!! I like you lol They just don't understand. I remember NM farming in FF11. The drops wasn't 100% and you had to fight other people for the mob just for the chance lol

But im glad you understand, youll enjoy the endgame here ^^

Hi, I see you are starting new... But... Are you sure you are in the correct server?... Because in the newer ones there's no such a thing like Atma parties right now.

Maybe you should join one of the newer servers that started the 6 or so of April, new players should better go there, for enjoying more the game. It's not the same start in a server where everyone is all-50 than starting in a server where there are only three or two people 50 right now and with one class.

    check: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...he-new-servers.

I apologize if you may found it offensive, it wasn't my purpose to annoy you or say which server you should take, maybe you like starting in an already over-worked server... Just wanted to help. ^^

While I agree grinding isn't really all that bad, you can understand the complaints from the player base when 95%+ of the content has no grind to it what-so-ever. Then the Atma quest chain gets released which entails a fair investment of time.

It's not even a fair investment in time as it's a lottery which is why the introduction of RNG into this mess is absurd.

This is 2014, not 1999. Yes, people did similar things (if not more tedious) in older MMOs, but that isn't appropriate for modern markets.
