problems with the chat screen on PS4?

hey guys, im stuck! I've never played an MMOG before, so very unfamiliar with the chat function. For some reason today the chat screen is covering most of the screen, and wont go back into the bottom left corner.

it says to expand the log push triangle, which then makes it bigger as expected. but then to restore log size it says to push triangle again, which i do, but it still covers most of the screen. i've emailed the support, and they've suggested to click the triangle in the top right corner of the chat box and drag it down, however i cant seem to do that with the PS4 controller.

any one got any ideas?

not sure if its the same controls as it is for ps3 controller but... u can get a mouse pointer up then u can click the corner of the chat by clicking and holding L2 ;/ apologies if it doesnt help tho

This happened to me today on PS3 as well. Switch to mouse cursor (L1 + R3) and resize it, then switch back to controller mode

Thanks for the replies. Managed to sort out the first problem. Now though, when I logged in today, for some reason the chat box stayed the same size, however has moved to the middle of the screen. And I can't move it. I've tried using the virtual mouse mode on the controller, but you can't move the chat box. It's so frustrating as I cannot play the game until it's sorted.

Any help would be great!

To move the chat log, you click, hold, and drag the General tab. Is that what you're trying?

Make sure you don't just grab "battle" or "event" because they can move by themselves. I normally grab it on the left edge but it takes me a few times get the sweet spot. While still "clicking" on the chat box you can reposition it. Place it where you want and let go.

Lol my chat screen is to far off on the right side of my screen.
What's worse is that it's stuck at 50% size so it covers 1/4 of screen.
Its too far into my screen's right field of vision so i can't even re size it lol!
Lived with it ever since last december.
