Does anyone else miss peaple asking you for help?

/shout /t and other random encounters seem to be dead in this game. Think it stems from the modern design of 1-50 is pretty much solo or spam random duty then use party finder. No emphasis on a real community atmosphere at all. Hell even the scripted vomit of Barren's chat would be a welcome change of pace at this point. It just makes the game feel so empty. Even taking into account FC and LS chat, it just seem like there is no one else really out there... if that makes any sense =/

Agreed. The solo designed killed any interaction from 1-49. People may not like the forced-party design of FFXI, I also did not like it. However, thinking about it, it probably what made the great community in FFXI. Since everyone had to be nice to each other, knowing tomorrow, they will party with the same people, so you had to keep up your reputation. In ARR, 1-49, there are no consequences, no thought, and no soul.

I feel the same way with my FC. No one ever uses the /fc chat. My once fc of around 156 members, did a recent cleanup and now down to 77 members. Only around 25 have actually loged in within the past 8 days. Only ever see around 10 people on during prime time. Used to have like 4 squads going, but the last remaning squad took a break aswell.

Literally 80% of the time that i'm on for 4 hours an afternoon, I'm the only one that ever puts something in our chat box..

The chat box is really hard to read, so I'm sure that hurts it to.
