roulette in progress broken?

someone in my FC commented that their praetorium group only had five people, so I figured I would help them and queue for an in progress scenario since it's sure to give me their group. except it wouldn't bring up a queue for an in progress group- it gave me a fresh group. I try queueing for an in progress praetorium specifically and it pops up immediately.

I have noticed that since the patch I have yet to roulette a single in progress group. Could it be that roulette is not considering in progress groups? that seems pretty bad for something like scenarios, hardly anyone is going to queue specifically for an in progress castrum or praetorium.

I noticed something similar since 2.16 or so. It's not impossible, just extremely rare. If you in-progress and choose a specific dungeon, they're just as frequent as ever. My guess is that after people complained about queue fishing, SE altered the setup so that Roulette places in-progress runs at the very bottom of the priority list, while leaving them at the top for direct queuing.

I've tried in progress a few times this week for roulette and it's gone up to 6 times the average wait before I gave up and requeued for a fresh group with less than a 5 minute wait. I've yet to figure out it's purpose or if it even works at all.

i wouldnt call that broken. what i would call broken is a friend asking if someone could hop into an in progress hauke manor nm, and every time i pick in progress, i get the same empty, abandoned duty. every time.

A few weeks ago I was running CM through the roulette as a DPS. We had a tank drop or d/c right at the start. We worked our way all the way to the 2nd boss and still didn't have a tank pop in. We wiped at the second boss as the one tank we had was fairly new. I offered to be kicked and then rejoin on my PLD.

When I tried to re-enter through the queue for roulette it wouldn't put me in an in progress party and gave me a normal "less than 5m" wait time. Gave it a few minutes, but in progress never popped up. As soon as I left the queue for roulette and just queued for CM it popped right up and I joined the same party I left. Led me to believe there are issues with joining an in progress party through the roulette.

I thought so too, but the other day our healer droped and right away guy from my group quit then entered as a healer, so it worked that time, but ya i think they moved the priority of it to the bottom which sux

I was queueing as a healer so my queue was quick and I did fish for a little, and even when I had to wait a few minutes for a group it would not give me an in progress group. and going by the fact that the person in my FC had to do the entire scenario with 5 people there's something up.

May have just been that the leader in the group selected not to be in the queue. When someone leaves, the party leader gets a pop up asking if they want to look for replacements.

self made problem

you cant join an in progress roulette the way you think you can. if you drop out of roulette and offer to hop on a diff class, you have to pick the place you dropped out of.
