    Disciple of the Hand Requirements

    I had posted a couple of weeks ago to ask about what the requirements were to become a Disciple of the Hand so I could equip Materia. Some people had said that I was required to get one crafting class to Level 19 to achieve the status of Disciple of the Hand. I have got my Blacksmith level to 19 but I still cannot get to equip the Materia that I have obtained. Do I have to go to a higher level or do I need to add more crafting classes?

    There's a quest out in Central Thanalan that you need to do to unlock Melding as an action. The level 18 or whatever requirement is for that quest and you'll be able to meld once you finish it.
