My Square Enix Account is linked to a PSN Sub account (Child's Account).

As you may know, you can't upgrade your existing PSN account to a Master account even after you've turned 18. You have to make a new PSN account. And you can't unlink your PSN account from your Square Enix account either. (Nice combo right?)

Well i just tried logging into FFXIV beta from the PS4 and i get this to come up: "This Square Enix account is already linked to another Sony Entertainment Network account."

So i'm stuck with that infamous Sub account just to play FFXIV. So i can't use the Share button to upload screen shots or videos...

Is it possible for customer service to unlink my PSN Sub account in this case scenario? Or do i have to make a new Square Enix account, repurchase the game once it releases for PS4 (I own a PS3 copy), start over with a new character and LOSE my legacy status before i can play from my new PSN master account?

I just talked to support because I suffer from a similar problem. I was told I had to make a new account and buy a new copy of the game to change my PSN ID.

Darn it, well that's it then. I'm screwed out of the PS3 to PS4 digital upgrade and legacy status if i want to play on PS4. If i knew about this, i would've waited until PS4 release. Its not starting out back at level 1 that bothers me, Its the fact i've got to repurchase the game again and pay extra money a month. I'll just have to play on PC like i originally did in the version 1.0 days if i don't want to go through all that or bare with the Sub account restrictions.

I am getting the same message with one exception, I am actually trying to log onto my FFXIV account on the PSN that IS attached to my account. It isn't a child account either. I own FFXIV on both PC and PS3 it just keeps giving me that same error. I even went back on the PS3 and logged into the game with my PSN and it's all correct. Guess I won't get to try out the PS4 till it launches *sigh*
