Help! Need more crafters.

Or maybe more people crafting lower level items. I'm a crafter and I took up, or am taking up, all crafts. But I don't have time to level any one of them because of so much NEEEEED. I can't over charge in good conscience. I can't let the board show up zeros so no one has anything to wear or yield in battle. I am only one man and I'm also limited obviously to two retainers compensated by frequent checking. I need more people to care a little if the low levels have.

Right after Steam we got an influx of huge number of crafters. I assumed players in general. It stayed strong almost up to the patch then started to dwindle. After the patch there's hardly anyone left crafting. Today I saw my first /shout for someone to make a level 20 weapon. That's awful! No one should have to come to shouting there should be more than plenty. What is causing this?

Is it just my server, Faerie, or is the entire game suffering from lack of low level crafting? Is this a sign that no one else is joining the game in North America? I assume there will be a huge influx when PS4 comes online but after that???

I'm guilty of this and I admit it. I have all crafts at 50 yet I only craft the weapons needed for the relic quest. I do this because I make on average an 8k profit on each since I farm all mats except for the crystals, and they sell quick. When I make lower lvl items most of them require 3-4X the amount of mats and you make a few hundred gil profit, and they stay on the board for days.

Yes I know it's selfish but like you guys I want to play the game as well and not sit there crafting all day. I think if SE gave some incentives to crafters more people would level up these jobs and you would see more of the lower lvl stuff on the boards.

LOL, please calm down. I am sure plenty of people are joining the game, especially now with the PS4 Open Beta. I am also sure that plenty of people are crafting items at all levels on your world server.

What you need to realize is that there is significant new demand for low level items at the moment. With Patch 2.2 we all now have access to the new Ventures system. A ton of players are specifying a Class for their Retainer(s) and then proceeding to level them up via Ventures. This requires A LOT of low level gear. Also with the influx of new PS4 players, that will only add to the demand for low level gear for the marketplace.

You should realize by now that this is good news... new opportunities for crafters! We should now be able to make low level gear and sell it at nice prices. Especially HQ low level gear.

I for one always make it a point to buy HQ verison of the gears you can buy from vendor to stay at the top of the gear and perform nicely as a tank or healer when leveling ... unless it is grossly overpriced which makes me sad. Since i am too lazy to keep my crafting leve upl consistently with my DoW / DoM

Huh, I'll have to check on Malboro.
I doubt it is a lack of overall crafters but there may be fewer people working through those levels, others may not be looking for gaps in the market, or they might be busy with new content. I tend to craft stuff only "on demand" myself.

I'm inclined to agree with Starkiller. I've noticed the same change in item availability, but am inclined to think it's more due to a rise in demand than to a drop in supply. It's worth the thread talking about it though, because there may well be crafters willing to help boost supply to meet the new demand. If this thread gets a few more of them to notice the shift, it's worthwhile.

Before everyone was bored, so they crafted. Now everyone is busy with new stuff to do. Soldiery tomes, atmas, etc. Most free time went to crafting/making money before. Now it goes to the large timesink called atma. This is great for the economy since the people who really care to make money will be making money. Personally I haven't crafted anything but glamour prisms since 2.2 started.

I tend to sell mostly i70, relic, and leve related goods. I have noticed though that the i55 and lower gear aren't getting much love in supply (despite rise in demand). It's been fairly profitable for me. And no, I don't really care about saying that. Everything comes to an end at some point, even my high profits on those things.
