That's more like it. I agree with you, the tanks have a bit too much "power" when it comes to Duty finder and groups in general. He will get the 30 min penalty, aside form that i don't know how one should strike them down from the throne.oh i thought i caught more of the chat log,
basically he just kept telling us to skip mobs otherwise he was leaving, but we joined for the exp and asked him to kill the mobs, first area he did, then on the second rooms he was taking a hissy on the chat box, threatening to leave if we didnt so whatever he ordered and such. just thought i caught more which woulda made this make more sense.
+ its just the irony of the whole tank issue people are having, when theyre leaving for silly reasons and then thinking they're a hierachy. i did this dungeon before with a titan-egi and i had to do it again with a titan-egi.
You should do like me. I have shadow play on my computer. Whenever i feel like someone is being a d**ck i just record it, show it to gm's and have them deal with it. Though, this is not punishable behaviour, just some guy being the "king of the hill".
Kinda wanted to get a different youtube response to it, but i couldnt think of any other because we just didnt go through the shifts and i tanked the adds. lol
I'm probably going to catch some flack for this, but I really don't care. Tanks need to come off it. As a tank, I know I am not the most important person in the group. Any tank needs to remind themselves that. Yeah, we have some leverage given the difficulty of finding a replacement tank for dungeon groups, but that flies right out the door when all it takes is one member of the 3 or 7 you left behind to switch over to FC or LS chat and call in back up. I guarantee you there are a hundred other considerate and probably twice as talented tanks out there willing to take the spot of a self centered ding bat at the pleas of their FC mates or LS mates. I am the sole 50 tank of my FC, and idiots like this keep me in work. If there is one thing I love more than feeling superior to other players, it's being desired by other players. And acting superior to your fellow player is just a sure fire way to make you look undesirable.
So rude! :O
A Tankless Job indeed...
Rudeness levels (descending).
1. Queue for in-progress and keep withdrawing for minutes (i remember one healer in the morning was doing this for 15 minutes or so lol).
2. Enter the dungeon but leave asap before duty is commenced.
3. Go afk and wait for vote dismiss.
4. Leave or *disconnect* when things go too slow or wipy.
5. Inform the team you will leave if reasons above.
6. Inform the team you will have to *repair*, *help FC* or *rejoin as xxx* when things go too slow or wipy.
How many people will keep wiping until time out? Maybe 5% at best.
I don't do this as any role I play, especially a tank. On the occasions that another player has ragequit or threatened to, my response is the same. "I've 3-manned most dungeons in this game, and I'll do it again. Do what you need to do." It's the truth and frankly, some of the most fun I've had in dungeons has been when forced to do them with three people (and no egi). However, when this happens, I certainly don't post screenshots of the dialogue on the forums. One is rude and one is tattling, and both are equally childish, IMO.
