Took me a while to realize Caster DD and Melee DD limit breaks worked differently.
It hit me when someone said "why would a BLM LB?" >.<

I rather hope, this is coming from a blm main mind you, that the majority of people would know also that a BLM's lb is lower priority than a melee LB unless you're trying to take down mulitple mobs. If it's a last resort DPS LB, that's fine, stuff happens (being the only surviving DPS in a Titan fight for instance), but direct LB (aka Melee) should -always- be used on a single target before a mage uses it.
That's one I've had to talk some people through at one point or another. I like Meteor, truly do, but I do rather wish the damage would sort of scale with the amount of targets it was taking down as well. Fewer targets, lower scale, higher output. But that's not likely to ever happen.
On another note..my Crits have almost gotten to the point where they rival a 1 bar BLM lb..which I find amusing.
I finally did some testing when I was at the last tier of the Sylph daily quests and found out that it you walk by those mobs that aggro in a radius instead of running they won't aggro you. So "hearing" aggro is still in the game, it just isn't shown anymore.
Something I didn't find out for a month after treasure hunts came out, if you go up to a gathering node, activate it to see the list, and then back out, whether you gather anything or not the next gathering node in sequence will appear again. It makes map-finding so much faster when you can just keep checking nodes indefinitely and have them reset without having to actually gather any items.
Took me until T5 to realise I should use the pet CDs. I do not deserve to be a SMN.
So, for a few months i hated to go to market board in Ul'dah because it was so far from any aetheryte.. i would tele to the weavers guild and run there to use the mb... then after about 4 months i discovered you could zone through to the market area a few steps from the adventurer's guild... *blink* i felt so dumb
I also was fooled by the big aetherytes and ran to smaller ones to move about the cities.. i also just recently learned about checking the market board from my retainer. so many wasted pages of notes later.
OKAY guilty, I always port to weavers and run.. Lol so glad you said..thx!So, for a few months i hated to go to market board in Ul'dah because it was so far from any aetheryte.. i would tele to the weavers guild and run there to use the mb... then after about 4 months i discovered you could zone through to the market area a few steps from the adventurer's guild... *blink* i felt so dumb

For months I was healing endgame content without realizing that I didn't need to manually target myself for heals.
It saves me so much time now to just de-target and heal myself. xD
Oh man! Been playing for 6 weeks and only just now realised you can reply to the last person who sent you a /tell by using /r..... Would have saved so much time!
What??? I had no idea! This will surely save me some time/teleport costs. Been turning a lot of stuff in lately. Thanks!
By the way, this thread is the best. I'm still learning new things. And then feeling like a dope for not already knowing these obvious things.

Here's something I just found out recently.
Apparently you can put the two Treasure Hunters at the beginning of Wanderer's Palace to Sleep. Granted not necessary for Speed Runs but if you want to delay the Tonberry Stalker a bit. Just have a BLM sleep the two Treasure Hunters at the beginning.
Okay then. that's what I'll do. I'll tell you a story. Can you hear them? All these people who lived in terror of you and your judgement. All these people who's ancestors devoted themselves to you, sacrificed themselves to you. Can you hear them singing?
