Holy crap... that's awesome!Friend noticed it first but..
Never realized until now that monk stances has same animations as Ifrit , Garuda and Titan D:
Fists of fire = Ifrit's eruption animation
Fists of Wind = When Garuda summon's sisters (She goes and spins around)
Fists of Earth = When Titan does Geo Crush
When I first started playing I didn't know what enimity was and thought I was the coolest axe dps class with some crazy "enimity" debuff. Wondered why the monsters always aimed me during FATEs and low level dungeons.
Yeah it was while I leveling my alt classes and someone was like hey can we get a full clear? So, I was like well, that's not so bad it's a straight line. And then the Tank took us on a little tour of the big room. Yeah, didn't know there were side rooms.
I didn't know what Transpose did until I ran a couple dungeons and someone told me how to utilize it. Well, I knew what it did, because I read the description, but I didn't know why or how it was useful, because the description, by itself, makes it seem like a "yeah, so?" ability. Sure, there's buff icons for Astral Fire and Umbral Ice, but it's a pain to see what buffs do on PS3. You have to click Select a bunch of times to move the "cursor" up to where the buff icons are, and while I was soloing THM I was usually too busy killing the mobs.
I did not know this until I read your post. I have now added that icon to all of my DoH hotbar sets.
Wondering how you would know how to flank a target or be behind them if they had no side or back...then a friend told me about the target icon has an arrow that shows which way the target is facing so I can always find their flank/rear now. <face palm>
When riding a mount, you can press the attack stance button to automatically dismount. For PS3/PS4 it's L3 (click in the left anologue stick)
Wow I didnt know that......i would normally scroll all the way to the icons and manually click it off
As a noob, I had too many of these moments... So many that I can't remember all of them... But here goes the five more important ones:
1- After playing my first days (I only achieved level 7 in four days...) trying to understand the controls and the targetting of the gamepad, finally I discovered I could stop that damn annoying "auto sheathe/unsheathe weapon" every x seconds, and also destroy the damn set of targeting and make my own targetings with L1+ circle, L1 + triangle, etc....
2- After a month running to all the places with my fisher level 35, while my arcanist was only 23.... I discovered there were retainers to save my things! Instead of selling to NPCs! I discovered there were also chocobo porters, so I could use them for moving for some zones instead of ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuun....
3- Discovered the engineering and survival manual of the grand company... After already having a lot of crafting and gathering classes upgraded with sweat.
4- One day.... finally... I discovered the expert delivery... before that, my best way of obtaining seals was... Doing FATEs in Aleport....
5- It was almost two months after playing that I discovered the instances were shared with people of other servers... I remember it as if it would be yesterday, someone asked in Brayflox longstop from which server we where and I just replied: "Erhm... from Lich... Like... Everyone?"
Anyone have a nicely organized list of all the posts the UI dev has posted over the last year or so. Every so often people ask if we can do this or that. And he sometimes makes posts about things that are already in the game, and how to type certain commands to do certain things. He had a lot of different commands for sorting items, and I'm wondering about those. Just curious. I think camate is always posting his posts, so might be a choir to go back and look at all of his posts lol.
This! I started as a ranged caster so it didn't matter much, but when I started leveling monk and dragoon, this was an awesome revelation.
