R-r-reaally? /facepalmWhen I was leveling ALC, I ended up buying tons of Cinnabar from the city Tradeskill Merchant in order to convert it into Quicksilver, for use with level-equivalent recipes. Sometime well after I had reached ALC50, I scrolled down the vendor list a little bit more and saw that he sells Quicksilver too, at practically the same price.
I tried to convince myself that "at least I always had HQ Quicksilver" in order to lessen the pain a bit. ^^;

Just found out this week that a vendor sells Cotton Yarn. I wasted tons of shards making this stuff for undyed velveteen...When I was leveling ALC, I ended up buying tons of Cinnabar from the city Tradeskill Merchant in order to convert it into Quicksilver, for use with level-equivalent recipes. Domino Dayspring: Your Mom's Favorite Red Mage

Healers should at least throw up their instant DoT's to help out and in some rare cases, holyNow.. if you are running out of mana from using holy... that's another issue lol
Please don't be that healer that wipes out all their mana with holy then wipes the party cause.. well.. they have no mana ;P

Took me a couple months before I realized I could manually sort party members. Healing 8 mans became so much easier. Although now they have auto party sort....
You should have bought an authenticator.....
Your tears feed me....
As a noob, I had too many of these moments... So many that I can't remember all of them... But here goes the five more important ones:
1- After playing my first days (I only achieved level 7 in four days...) trying to understand the controls and the targetting of the gamepad, finally I discovered I could stop that damn annoying "auto sheathe/unsheathe weapon" every x seconds, and also destroy the damn set of targeting and make my own targetings with L1+ circle, L1 + triangle, etc....
2- After a month running to all the places with my fisher level 35, while my arcanist was only 23.... I discovered there were retainers to save my things! Instead of selling to NPCs! I discovered there were also chocobo porters, so I could use them for moving for some zones instead of ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuun....
3- Discovered the engineering and survival manual of the grand company... After already having a lot of crafting and gathering classes upgraded with sweat.
4- One day.... finally... I discovered the expert delivery... before that, my best way of obtaining seals was... Doing FATEs in Aleport....
5- It was almost two months after playing that I discovered the instances were shared with people of other servers... I remember it as if it would be yesterday, someone asked in Brayflox longstop from which server we where and I just replied: "Erhm... from Lich... Like... Everyone?"

I thought it was really cool that when turning in items for quests/leves/beastman/grand company. you dont have to search your inventory for the item. all you have to do is right click on the shaded item, that is showing what is being requests and pop the item comes up and you click it. Submit. Kinda like how you can add old completed items in to a recipe that calls for a completed item, in order to make it a Vintage item or w/e.

! Never knew this. I discovered that you can actually access a city's aethernet from the main crystal sometime in January. It took another month to get out of the habit of hitting sprint right after teleporting in.
I just discovered the quest to unlock the White Wolf Gate in Gridania two weeks ago. By then, it was pretty useless to both my characters....
