Took me a month to realize I could quickly target my party members with the F keys. Someone had to tell me.

Some of us play on a console and/or don't use a mouse. Also, who hasn't misread something before? Half of the posts in this topic are about Camp Bluefog vs. Camp Bluefrog.About 90% of the things posted in this thread are all things that could have been leaned while reading the little pop helps, or even just mousing over a new symbol on the screen. it is no wonder that so many fights are so much needlessly harder then they need to be so many players literal don't pay any attention to their job or even the game and how it works. I mean seriously you count mouse over something and read the help text? holy cow people. I mean seriously now I know why it's so hard to get people to play their job right in a dungeon, they "know everything" with never bothering to read what it actually does.
Back on topic...
Didn't know you needed the mob in front of you to block an attack. Figured it wouldn't matter where they were until 6 months into the game.
Also didn't find out about PS3 controller L1+up/down moved through your active mob list until a couple months ago. Great for those that run off screen and are still in provoke range.
Also recently found out using flash on bosses that are susceptible to blind, helps mitigate damage. Never really considered using it for the "blind" debuff on them or small pulls. Only used it for hate gen on bigger pulls.
jut realized very recently you can easily change your chat window to fc/party/alliance/linkshell/or reply a tell by easily pressing alt + f/p/a/l/r.
if only i found out sooner..all those wrong chats made /facepalm
But conversely why are the Fogfens not the Frogfens? They're populated with those highly obnoxious overgrown amphibian tongue extenders and their Labored Leap.
Back on topic ... during a raid fight in an endgame dungeon a friend (who had recently hit 50) told us that his waist piece had broken and he needed to replace it with a fresh drop. We were all puzzled and asked why he didn't get it repaired. Turns out he actually had no idea that gear could be repaired - every time a piece of gear broke, he'd get rid of it and replace it with another drop. >_<
My static only recently discovered you can pass the Prey debuff around like allagan rot.
