Terminus Putty is needed for lots of ilv90 crafted gear. Will this be in high demand, or will everyone level alc? You can master all the crafting classes, and it seems like once you've done one the others are less daunting? Will NQ be worthless and HQ valuable?

I quickly dove into Wvr, only to realize I would need Alc to be self sufficient, and decided I'd do both.

I would imagine anyone who will be wanting to make a profit off of the 3 star crafting will end up leveling an Alchemist if they have not done so already. However, I can tell you that on my server (Exodus) there is rarely any Tawny Latex on the Market Board because it sells so quickly. I tend to just buy the Tawny Latex when it does show up, craft it into Terminus Putty, and make a decent profit selling it on the Market Board. So although I don't think it will be in high demand, it will always be in demand from those who only focuses on a single high level profession.

I don't think there is much of a market for Terminus Putty The market history show smaybe one a day selling since 2.2. it seems like everyone has continued to be self sufficient. Perhaps master crafts would have been a good place for them to force us to pick just one?

Not much of a market? I've made around 2-3mil off crafting HQs ones since 2.2 launch. I'd say that is market enough. You only watch market board, you dont see what is going on between crafters who know each other and the trading going on with the members within the crafting linkshells.

Yep, the offshore market. But do you sell other 3-star end products too? I dont sell HQ Terminus Putty at all because this will hurt my other sales.

HQ is nice, but 3 star stuff is perfectly HQable with NQ ones.

Terminus Putty is pretty difficult to HQ since you can't get any HQ materials. I did a deep undercut (100k lower which was >50%) and sold ONE at that price. The other sellers went away, and I sold more at the previous high price It is moving slow, it seems more people either trade outside of the market board or make it themselves.

Many but not all people who sell 3 star have mastercraft alchemy. It is recommended that you do, as you will save a lot of gil in the long run. However, one of your biggest customers for Terminus Putty will most likely be from non-master crafters, who buy the mats and find a crafter to make the equipment for them. This is cheaper than buying the equipment directly but it is more time consuming and riskier; I know many crafters who will simply say "too bad" if they NQ your stuff.

The customers should negotiate and declare the terms with the crafters before any trades.
I always offer 3 prices and explain the risk of each of them:
1. one-time crafting, ur mats, HQ/NQ on ur own risk, fee:xxxx
2. crafting as many as u want with ur mats until u get an HQ, fee:xxxx
3. guarantee HQ, risk on me, fee:xxxx

"too bad" if they NQ your stuff
This sounds familiar when a starbuck/fast food boy messed up my order, dude, you have one job, no wonder u are earning pennies, do your fxxking job. Or someone died in titan and type "sry guys, lag", yeah keep telling urself that.

Good system in my opinion.

Personally I only do Guaranteed HQ orders (except vanity items ofc) and if they don't like my fee they can take their luck with one of the other crafters
