Wrong, it's obvious you never tried World of Warcraft the MMORPG Yoshi-P played to copy this setting, his words.
Parser (not official tool but allowed by Blizzard) is required in raid and people have really easy kick if you don't dps like a bat in the hell. Dps job on FFXIV is really too easy, people easily blame tanks and healers even when they don't deserve that.

God, am I happy I never needed to do that. We used a dps-meter to reach the best set-up for a particular boss in Wow, but we never needed to see if someone was playing badly, because, you know, in "real" raiding you wouldn't have a member that played badly anyway. Most bad players can easily be spotted by their movement and/or skillusage (especially uptime of buffs/debuffs) and you don't even remotely need a parser for that. Also parsers have a huuuge downside. I've seen this in so many random groups it's not even funny, but a parser makes people play WORSE.

"If I move out of this AoE I will lose some DPS! Stupid heal can heal me so I am 1st in DPS!!!!" (and yes, in raidfinder for example the guys with the highest DPS were nearly always the ones with most damage taken)

TL;DR: A good raidlead won't need a parser. While it might be helpful at squeezing out those last 1-2% only weak players will need it to judge playskill. No offense to you, but your comments sound ignorant of this and you do sound like one of those "OMG IM FIRST ON DPS L2P PARTY LOL" dudes^^

Player add-ons were originally mentioned by Yoshi as UI add-ons... Not sure why people think the add-ons means parsers...

Add-ons cover a LOT of ground. Parsers, DPS meters, threat meters, raid tools (DBM, Big Wigs), Custom UI stuff (raid frames and pop ups for procs), class and job tools (PallyPower, CLC Ret), minigames, the pokemon addon. That's mentioning a few.

The problematic people can easily be removed. Guide them. If you're such a good player you should be able to do so.
I admit that sometimes there will be morrons that are playing badly and misbehaving when you tell them KINDLY(!) that they're screwing up, but they're not met that often that it would be a huge problem.

If a group really gets dragged down by one person why not ask them if they would be kind enough to leave? It happens and it might be due to various reasons you don't know of.

At this point I'm fairly sure you're either a scrub or a troll, but for the sake of the argument. Generally speaking most people that call others scrubs are the ones that need to hide their own mishaps. Those are also most often the people posing with their parsers from my experience (how often have I read "One fail = kick!" and directly in the 1st try the person that started the group would fail, die and type something like "lol, sorry, had a huge lagg!").
While this might or might not be true for you, your ignorance is unmatched here, congrats People like you are the poison that spoils the community and keeps a lot of players from getting better.

I've always said this and I'll say it again: First to cry parser wins.

Amazing how many times I'd hear about parsing and arguments between people in 2.0. Not so much now.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with parsing as a tool to improve one's dps as well as a variety of other reasonable uses. I guaranty Yoshi and the game designers have in game development tools that do the same thing. It's a valuable tool for creating new builds and strategy's as well as monitoring ones own growth and development.

The one and only problem is that some people choose to use this information to ridicule and demoralize people. That right there is the only way people will ever get in trouble in the future for parsing. When someone reports you for trolling them and they have a chat log that implicates you as having parsed. I doubt they will ever develop or maintain perimeters to actively search for clients that are parsing.

I think its safe to assume that anyone who using parsing as a tool for themselves and their FC mates as a learning tool only it should not be an issue. Just don't troll some random in game for having bad dps.
