Non-crafters only: Are you happy with the vanity system?

OP since your true main focus in the system is the cost:

Why bother giving advice to someone just labeling ppl trying to help them.

Why bother with someone who has DoW/DoM leveled and access upto 50k+ gil profit per day just from Roulettes and Dailies.

Why bother with someone who is in a FC with 347 other ppl that can help them?

If anyone is Greedy, a troll, lazy, it is in fact the OP. They have more available to them than others.

So, because I can earn money in roulettes, have a great FC, etc, I should be ok with SE giving a QoL system solely to crafters, who turned around and marked everything up 1-2000%? The real question is, if you people didn't think there was anything wrong with your insane mark ups, and if you don't believe that you're being greedy, why have you been arguing with me for 8 pages now? Kind of makes a statement, doesn't it?

Don't mistake being bored at work for caring about what someone thinks of the cost of goods. In all honesty, you are the consumer and you have all of the power. Convince your other consumer friends to not buy expensive glamour prisms, and the price will go down. But as long as demand is high, the price will be higher than you want. Sorry, but economics.

And in all honesty, at the end of the day, if you don't buy them, someone else will. So you can toss the word greedy around all day. Its gonna be harder and harder to hear you with all of this money stuffed in our ears.

I don't get it. If you want to be pretty, you either buy it or become a crafter. Simple. I'm not a crafter but I'm seriously happy about the vanity system. I've collected all of my favorite sets of outfits and can now wear them over my gear. I am thinking about leveling my crafting because I want the Spring Dress and Sailor Suit. If I want it, I have to work for it. People play games for the challenge or to have fun. If you aren't doing either, quit. Don't get mad because you refuse to do anything to get what you want.

Sounds like you don't have many friends to lean on to have someone make them for you if you're not capable of doing it for yourself. I only make prisms for myself and FC friends. I've never bothered to sell them because I have better things to do with my time.

I know I should work for them but I enjoy more crafting and gathering so things I dont want to do should be given to me for free because reasons.

I have a CUL at 50.

Please, 1 craft at 50 is nothing special. Considering where your other crafts are at, it's safe to say you probably didn't even make HQ items which cuts your time and leves usage in half. You completely ignored my tips so whatever. You chose to use a macro which is inefficient for you at best and then complain it's boring.

According to others, like lemonade, leveling a crafting class is already fast and profitable. Stop being so greedy.

His point is instead of using all resources available to you, you choose to whine and complain.

There are a number of options one can take if you do not wish to pay the price asked by those offering glamour services:

1. Wait for the prices to come down.

2. Level the crafting professions yourself. It takes some time, some gil (and I need to use the leves, I keep forgetting about them).

3. Befriend crafters in your FC (or friends who may be crafters) and offer to bring the materials they need in exchange for their glamour services.

4. Don't get your gear glamoured.
