Hey guys! I like this thread a lot and got it saved on bookmarks, although I do not post so much. I've made this as part of a surprise to my boyfriend. Still missing our chocobos, Chocolate and Vainilla, each one in a frame. I'll do them next monday/tuesday. I'm not so good with wood pencils but wanted to try anyway.

If there are any artists out there who are familiar with drawing special effects, I request your help! I've been drawing a little chat blocker to spice up my stream with, but I am having trouble visualizing the Royal Road effect:



In a nutshell: That cards needs to burn! In a more subtle way; it doesn't have to represent the hellfires from the Bowl of the Embers. But I have no idea how to draw fire and with the attempts I did, it looked very out of place. If anyone has any tips or examples, or simply draw over the image and I'll try to copy it in my own style, I'd be very grateful.

Edit: Actually, playing with fire* for three hours straight got me a somewhat acceptable result. But I'm still open for suggestions!
