Well we know his return will come eventually due to certain events....

So are you excited or not?

What kind of things do you expect to see with his return?

For me he I'm looking forward to see in person the antagonist everyone seem to love in 1.0

he will probably have a different versions for his battle with his return.

one will be for Coil where is he is at his strongest due to his "return" into the world of Eorzea.

second battle is probably a story battle version for Main Story Scenario where he has different mechanics from coil.

I think nobody loved the HM Nael van darnus fight ...... I never was able to join it though, because ... 1.0 being 1.0

But I would love it. What I too would love. Usage of the echo to go to the day of calamity or even going beyond that and seeing how stuff was before.
What happened to that weird Pirate Eric? I stil want him to show me the rod and jewels his momma gave to him.

well I doubt any of his ARR fights will be like in 1.0 due to different mechanics in both versions.

If anything we will most likely see more use of Allagan technology in his Coil fight and new mechanics different from 1.0 version in his FF14ARR story version of the fight due to a new arena for his boss battle.

I'd actually forgotten about that CS already, though not sure I quite realized that it was Nael.. either way looking forward to 2.2 and the continuation of this little scenario.. I can't see fighting him again though unless he was still channeling Bahamut's power.. and Bahamut has no reason to share now that he is sort of free and otherwise occupied.

Well he is not technically free yet if you look back at Coil T1 - T5 story so he will need a certain help to get himself back to his original power. I still question how in the twelve did that happen to Bahamut but I guess we just have to keep pushing through coil until the final part of Coil is released to get the full answers and maybe a foreshadowing of a future Main Storyline event

Hence why I said sort of.. he isn't trapped in a moon anymore.. but yes being someone who likes good storylines in my games, I'm looking forward to where this goes. ^^

Pretty sure the devs said a while back that he's dead. All you're seeing of him is what the concentrated amounts of Aether in Coil are allowing you to see.

In contrast, they never came and flat out said that Louisoix is dead. They just said that the events surrounding him at Carteneau will be revealed through the Coil quest line. So whether he's actually dead or not is still up in the air.
