Yesterday (April 1, 2014) around 7pm PST, my raid group completed Bahamut's Second Coil, Turn 1 on Leviathan server. Among the drops, a High Allagan Earring of Slaying dropped and was lost due to the issue I am filing my complaint/ticket about. I have been in contact with in-game support and was told to file an issue here as a first step.

I play with my controller and occasionally my mouse on PC. I intended to roll NEED on the earrings and had my mouse over the NEED button. Apparently, the controller had the PASS button selected. We lost the earrings and my raid group and I are understandably upset.

I wish to obtain item that was dropped. I understand that, generally speaking, items are not restored to inventories if they have not been distributed; however, I find this to be an exception. Not only is there NO CONFIRMATION DIALOGUE for passing on items of importance in raid settings, but the fact that the two UI systems (mouse/keyboard + controller) can be have two different functional outcomes is absurd. If the mouse is over NEED, the controller should carry out the same action and vice versa. It is convoluted and poor game design to have contradictory actions possible; it is exacerbated by the fact that there is no confirmation dialogue. Server logs will show that High Allagan of Earrings of Slaying. I fully intended to roll on them and this was not a mistake. I'm pretty annoyed considering I subscribe monthly for content and get an unclear lot system with no confirmation about dropping important items such as coil drops.

Please assist.

Thanks for your time.
