    Challenge Log: Refuse Reward

    Hi, would it be possible to add a confirmation window [Challenge Log objective xxx complete. Would you like to receive rewards? Yes/No ]

    If player choose No, that objective's progress will remain at 4/5 or 9/10 and so on and the latest step in progress will be disregarded by the game. You can come back later on a job that can receive full rewards of the challenge and complete that missing objective on that job. This way people won't complete objectives when they don't want to and devs can keep their "we won't let you choose what job receives xp rewards!!!11".

    As the name says, a reward is something beneficial that should make you happy and constitute a gain. Unintentionally completing a Challenge Log entry (available once a week only) on a lv50 job when you could've done it later on your low level job feels very disheartening and totally not a reward. More like "Haha, got ya there, you idiot!"

    Um...how does your proposal accomplish this? It sounds like that's exactly what your're suggesting...

    Would be nice if you can complete but have to talk to NPC to receive the reward or something similar, but then again why not check the progress on your own and switch the job right before you clear the last step to receive the reward. It's pretty much the same.

    honestly... adding such a thing would defeat the purpose for Challenge Log. it's there to get players to expand the things they do. instead of just doing the same thing everyday. it's designed to encourage people to do new things. i am sure there are other reasons too. like for players that don't have the time to do something repeatedly all day. it allows them earn EXP and gil from other sources that can be completed by doing simple daily tasks.

    and if you want EXP for a class/job... then you should be playing it to start with. heck i do the leve quest and FATE section with a THM. i expect it to be 50 in no longer then 30~45 days. if you are trying to go quicker... then you are going to need something more then just the Challenge Log anyhow. it's not some kind of power leveling system you can use to just dump EXP where ever.

    I think I understand why OP suggested that, last week I intended to keep playing dungeon with my lv30 for the Challenge Log ,
    but when the Daily Reward was going to reset, suddenly I forgot my 4/5 Challenge Log and queued up for a high-level roulette Orz.

    I believe "confirmation" will not be added as current design is same as other quests upon completion.

    By the way I got an idea if change quests' exp reward from instant exp to a physical item, for example, an exp. book/scroll/letter...etc, by using this item, you obtain the exp. Moreover, the item could be mail to you so there will be no full bag losing item issue. And it also make the cute moogle mailbox more usage ^^

    also there will have to be restrictions. Gathering EXP Item from the DoH section only. and same with DoL. they won't be class specific. however combat EXP items should be unique to each base class. then to obtain a combat EXP item. you will need to complete a certain amount of that entry in the log with the class you want the item for. and then, as long as the entry is completed, the item can redeemed anytime before the weekly reset.

    you won't even have to fully finish the entry with your low level to get the reward. so it keeps the OP's original intention in mind. plus keeps a certain amount of required balance.

    You're clearly missing the point here - we DO play the class we want to receive the XP / bonuses on but you might accidentaly perform some "random" action on another (lvl 50 class) not realizing that you've just completed a long chain in a particular challenge bonus and get all the bonus wasted like that. I do beileve the having the Challenge rewarded as redeemable items would solve this easilly.

    Your intention in suggesting it may be to give the XP to a lower-level class that you've actually been using, and even done a fair amount of that challenge with. But if implemented without restrictions, many (perhaps most ?) players would use it to level the class they play the least and with which they may not have done any of the challenge at all. The current rule at least ensures that you have to have done some portion of the challenge with the class that gets the reward, even if it is shortsighted enough to only look at the last piece.

    Ideally, you should have some flexibility to select which class to receive the reward, but be limited to only choosing from classes that actually contributed to the challenge. That adds a fair amount of complexity to the system, though, and I'm not sure how much complexity these challenge rewards are worth.

    So my new simple suggestion would be replace all exp award by myth/gc seal...
    then maybe resolve all issues ^^;
