It's still ridiculous though.

It baffles me as to how one can take a virtual bubble cap mechanic and make it out to be a bad thing.

Being able to get a myriad of prizes from the retainer's venture is part of even doing it. It's an incentive to do dailies and/or spend the Grand Company seals from all those FATEs during Atma Quests or turning in Gear from those new dungeons.

Put in a Venture token and you get a prize out of it... just like in those fun little machines in the arcades...

Lol I would not consider this "faulty", "bad", "hindering" or any other negative connotation. What's more fun than getting a roof back from one's retainer?

Why even bother having the ability to gear up your retainer?

Because you require certain stats to actually choose what you want to gather. Bringing home primal weapons is cool and all, but I want to be able to have them farm items for me such as Apkallu Eggs, and I'll need to gear them up to do so.

So far the Ventures haven't provided an item higher level than i75, and being that these are technically obsolete now (great little prizes for newer players though) this isn't game breaking at all.

A lvl 11 Arcanist Retainer using lvl5 gear was able to retrieve the furniture item from T9. Can you really defend that? I'm positive this is some sort of glitch, there is no reason that side content should be able to retrieve the highest level of hardcore rewards for absolutely no work at all.

Edit: Oh, someone already mentioned that white raven pieces are being found. The professional strawmen here are just ignoring it. LOL

Our retainers are part of Thancred's secret fraternity and do not really have to combat things to earn the prizes they bring back to players.

However, on a serious note... Until we all are swimming in White Raven Armor Fragments, I don't see where the issue is. The gentleman who got that is just -super- lucky. As is the case with lottery item "minigames", one puts in a token and he may receive a "diamond" or a "lump of coal".

That's the fun part about it. Anything is possible.

Mine have only got me high quality crafting items and subligar pants. That I refuse to wear.

So a part for a piece of furniture is now "highest level of hardcore rewards".

Why is it only "unique" then. Why is it tradable and sellable.

Why can I buy all this furniture off the market board.

The "highest level of hardcore rewards" are what comes from the coffers which are all unique/untradable.
