How Do Fishing Holes Show up ?

I just got the Fishing Hole Ability for Fisher, lvl 15 or so, and it says it is now part of Active help but i dont see anything new on the map...the main one. Does it show up on the Mini Map like the other gathering info?

It's simply you can now fish at level 15 holes. That's all, you still have to discover them through exploration.

Pretty much any body of water can be fished. After you successfully catch something, that spot will be recorded in your Fishing Log, as well as any fish you discovered there. If you aren't high enough level to fish in a spot, you'll get a message saying something like "You can sense fish moving around, but have no idea where." Then you should just come back to this spot when you get your next Gulleye trait and try again.

Just be careful about the size of the fishing spots. Some of them are a lot bigger than the icon in the fishing log. Just because you moved 8 yalms outside the icon doesn't mean you aren't still fishing in the same ocean.

OK thanks, i was worried because i didnt see any sort of icon like you get for Minerals. I have been learning about how new areas get registered by fisihing in them, and have seen notices saying...No Fish here....(the hot springs pool by the Hermit Hovel) and also the wrong bait, havent seen any saying fish moving around but i have fished in places where none of the bait i can use works so i figured those were out of my level still. thanks for the help from every one, much appreciated. I do love the fishing ..and the chair is nice too...

Ah ha, so the sparklyl icon is the new icon. btw, that second link had no picture or text showing. but the first one is wonderful lots of info thanks a lot. I will look on my own but if i get stuck i can go there in the future. thank you.
