The client on the PS4 only offers 4 macro icon pages which consist of very generic icons.
I believe the PC and PS3 client has 10 icon pages.
I know this isn't a major issue... but I hope this gets addressed soon.![]()

No - it's exactly the same on all systems - this was changed with recent 2.2 patch sadly.
T_T I thought that the macro icon list seemed kinda empty, but that makes me sad.
The healer of love and justice! (Or the mad/insane/evil/berserk healer depending on who you talk to).
I've played healers for so long that I can heal in my sleep literally (People have seen me do it).
I like to do a bit of everything, but my preference is healing+support (until /that/ happens). FF14 title: Macro Queen
It made me sad too. The macro icons that are available are so generic, it's hard to see at a glance what macros are what on the page. I now have a mix of pre-2.2 macros (with their old ability icons) and some generic things that I don't know what they do until I check them. I don't mind having to use a line to use /macroicon, but I'd like that to change the icon used in the macros page and not just on the hotbars.
Hopefully, this is just a temporary step in the wrong direction and that something is planned to be done about it.
Nothing about bringing back the old icons for selection, but they are going to make /micon work more sensibly:
Hello, everyone.
The macro icon user interface is by no means in its final form at the moment and we will continue to make gradual updates to it.
In patch 2.3 we'll be making it so that when you set macros to the hotbar, the icons you specify will be displayed regardless of your class. Additionally we’ll be making it so the icon list in the user macros window will display the icons you indicated with the /micon command.
We're planning on making it so you'll be able to easily find the appropriate macros based on their icon in the future.
