that was a problem of their own design, don't blame that on the players. between 2.1 and 2.2 Coil was gated so it can only be done once, CT was gated so you can only get 1 item. they added roulette which was great for capping myths but it also meant combined with CT players ran a lot fewer dungeons then when they were doing AK and WP speed runs. the EX primals only needed to be done once a week, and for those that weren't able to one-shot them, all the failed attempts accrued no FC points.

it's their fault that everything players wanted to do prior to this patch can only be done once or gave no points for attempting them.

both of those have very similar requirements. player with high skills + player that can get into groups with 7 other players with high skills.

some people have one but not the other, some don't have either. which makes this the only option for everyone else which is the majority of the playerbase.

As of now the RNG is to hold enough people back until 2.3 (3 months from now) when Relic ilvl 110 and its Quest is released. By then the RNg will either be buffed to a more agreeable rate or removed completely due to the ilvl 110 Relic in 2.3

Only benefit at getting to Animus now is bragging rights that your amount the first to get Animus and a head start at getting ilvl 110 Relic in 2.3.

The entire set up of 2.2 now is that SE doesn't want a lot of people hitting Coil T9 except for only a rare organised few to actually become geared enough for T9 and obtain their ilvl 100 Relic before 2.3 when CT 2nd Raid and ilvl 110 Relic is released.

I don't know why ppl are complaining about the atma farming? I thought we all were looking for something to do? something that wouldn't be easy to finish/accomplish, something more challenging that would feel like an achievement/accomplish that we worked hard for?
It's because the people who wanted FATE farming/grinding are in-game grinding away, and those who don't like the system are coming to the forums to complain. You can't make everyone happy, unfortunately.

Last night my husband went to farm his atma in Lower La Noscea. After 4 hours, I decided to join him. 15 minutes later, I got the atma. A few minutes later, two of our friends decided to help. They too got the atma. 7 hours after he started, he still didn't have the atma.

How is this in any way, shape, or form acceptable? Three people get an atma with little effort, while the one person out there for literal hours has nothing to show for his work. This would be like going to work and not getting paid.

Pretty much, what they should do is have a buff which increases your chance of the Atma to dropping by 1% for every fate you do, meaning that after 100 fates you would have a 100% chance of the Atma to drop. (the buff would vanish upon changing zone or changing class)

Chances are you would get the Atma between 25-50%, I think this is acceptable especially considering there is even more grind to come after you get all 12 Atma's.

Assuming everyone falls into one category and then speculating based on that doesn't sound very useful.

There are multiple sides and volume levels change as patches alter a game. Some people didn't ask for this or want minor changes to the quality of it. I see nothing wrong with either side expressing their views but, ignoring all sides except the one you stand on makes your position look weak.

Nope, FATE grinding isn't what we're looking for.

We're actually looking for something that has challenge and not just mindless zombie grinding BS. And once you're done with your Atma Farming, say hello to 13,500 mythology Farming.

Yes yes, that's actually challenging! /sarcasm

luck was always a factor in mmorpg. and i expected most players of ffxiv to understand that since most of us are in our early to mid 20s and have played much older mmorpgs. anyone remember the drop rates for cards in ragnarok? now that was a grind.. se is just reintroducing the concept so that the players have something to do untill the next patch. if it wasnt for this grind, most people would have already completed the quest now, and would be complaining about the lack of content.

You mean buying gil to pay an elitist FC to carry you through Titan?

'cause that's what a lot of people did. That's why we have this.
