Lightning hair

Does anyone know if the Lightning stuff is ever going to come back? I really want the hair but back in Febuary, I was like, level two, and completely unaware of how to get it, or indeed that it was going to vanish forever on me.

I think this is the right forum to ask about events? or questy style ones anyways.

I didn't now the Lightning hair was removed. I had it as a haircut option from that guy with scissors last patch but recently changed it. Wasn't aware it was a temporary hair style.

I think you unlock it permanently, my problem is the quest to unlock it is now gone because the events over and at the time I was both too low level and unaware that the means to get it would be removed.

Unfortunately, from what I understand, the Lightning event is indeed gone forever (it was just cross marketing with the release of Lightning Returns.

However, having said that, there's nothing stopping SE from bringing it back at a later date, but given the fact that there's plenty of things in ARR that are now unattainable as well (everything to do with the 7th Umbral Era events in version 1.0, the Legacy Campaign, Goobbue mount, Hermes Shoes, weathered/dated gear, Cactuar and Bomb Earrings, Moogle Cap and Cait Sith minion etc), the Lightning event items and hairstyles sadly just join this list of stuff that "if you didn't get it then you've now lost it forever."

That's... really upsetting, everybody I see on my server is using it, I feel like I'm the only person who hasn't got it, and I missed it just because I didn't know about it at the time

Gobbue mount is obtainable from Slyph quests. Bomb and Cactuar earrings are purchasable from a vendor. There's a chance they'll be added in at a later date as a normal item if enough people want it.

That's not actually correct - the gobbue mount from the sylph quests is more correctly the Laurel Gobbue, the original 'Legacy' gobbue mount (which has a red carpet on top) is indeed no longer attainable, as it was only offered for a short time in version 1.0.

As for the Bomb and Cactuar earrings, the moogle vendors that offered them were completely removed from the game in the 2.1 patch last December, and thus are now unattainable as well.

Afraid its not coming back, i litteraly forced my brother to do this event for the hair style & costume, Another friend of mine i couldn't persuade, But it was worth it to bad you didn't get it maybe it will come back one day but i wouldn't get my hopes to high
