Thread: Turn 4 Coil impossible to run 2.2

as tank (PLD is my main) i doing runs atm only with friends or with ppl's i know , no pieces left in coil that i want as PLD , but there left many for another jobs . Big issue for coming in ramdom pt is i can't really trust ppl's , all tries i did ppl's was roll need allways when they see desired gear drop ;( I think those issues making Tanks actually use other jobs on which they can roll need lol .

Exactly i tried running a greed party today after 3 hours of queuing finally got in group, group made three attempts then quit before even finishing and i had to tank just to make sure there was at least one tank and i need the casting gear from there (sighs) i hate wasting my time, people don't join them because they don't trust people

Valid point, there is no point in going there as tank as their are like hardly any drops/worthless. I like the loot management TERA has, anyone can initiate a loot change while not in combat(60 sec). Can set to free for all (high roll wins), random distribution(no rolling), or class restricted.

RE: Greed party: If you state the loot rules in party chat and each member agrees to them in party chat, SE will actually enforce those rules if they break them.

i.e. if you say: there is to be no "Needing" on any loot that drops in this dungeon," and every other member responds in the affirmative, it would be a punishable offense to the "Need" on the loot.

Interesting that you mention TERA as i think that game has the better loot system and route for end game gear. I mean no lockouts and just grind till you get the gear you need (seriously why do we need a participation lock out with coils, it really kills progression). about the only thing that i think FF has over TERA atm in the loot system is the fact that you can loot unique items if you already have it.

i like this idea why can't we have a choice like in ff 11 and other games i know the class system was designed to make sure you can use something you win, but it causes problems when a class which is in high demand won't do content because they don't get anything its the same with garuda ex the ring for fending isn't even there BIS LOL

Greed party is alright, but for T4 what seems to be a better solution for attracting tanks is to promise them 1 or 2 pieces of off class gear. We got a very good tank who was running for the healer robe by promising everyone would pass on it.

I'm finding it sad to see that tanks need some kind of item drop to motivate them to do something...
But in terms of T4, I've never had a terrible PUG tank in 2.2, I've been having terrible healers that let these tanks flat out die. Must be a data center thing
