    Part of the problem I see is that you can significantly outgear something, but still need the reward (whether it's gear or tomes). IMO more/most/ almost all upgrades should come from challanging content instead of re-running easy content.

    I really think they screwed up the progression of gear and difficutly badly from the start, which is understandable at release, but needs to be corrected over time. For example, you can easily significantly outgear everything at 50 until Titan HM, where even in great gear witha 30% buff suddenly you can fail. Progression is more like a brick wall than a steady incline.

    I would argue it's a combination that the very hard things might be too hard, BECAUSE everything else can be facerolled.

    they should have left Pharos alone and made it an Expert dungeon and reshuffled the i70 loot into it.

    even the now nerfed Pharos is more difficult than any of the 3 new Expert dungeons.

    they also need to loop the Pharos background music (yes, i know they said that they don't plan to do that).

    Not everyone has the time or skill to sit around and play all day. some people work, and go to school. maybe even also have children. i have some friends how just dont have the skill but like to play and socialize. im sure you are far past that place so why does it matter? they pay their monthly fee every month like you do. allow them to have some fun without people like you complaining and making them feel worse. it ruins the community.

    This type of games have a lot of farming or grinding (=re-running). If you want the relic you need to do a very long quest (with some difficult, some easier duties) with Titan HM at the end. If you want the Allagan weapon you need to farm Coil T5 (reach there first and then be able to win consistently) many times until it drops. Both ways you have a long play time commitment and imply farming instances (you don't really farm Titan HM, but you usually have to repeat it many times until you find a group that survives. Not the same thing, but means repeating instances.)

    When a group farms, he normally is doing something that is somewhat mastered, even if it is objectively a difficult place (what I mean it is not such a challenge if you have won there n times.)

    It seems to me you prefer then a Titan HM type of challenge (a difficult place you don't need to farm, you just need to win once) for the relic than a Coil type of challenge for the Allagan (a place you have to repeat many times for the drop.) The second means farming and farming really means re-running content that is not that difficult for you, even if it is difficult for all.

    For the new second best, now after 2.2, you have to either farm fates and farm myth tomes (farm easy places), or farm a difficult place (Second Coil.) Farming here or farming there. For the second upgrade, though, (new best) you need drops (not farm I think) from the last instances of Second Coil (not easy places, but the most difficult places.)
