Sweet, this is great news. This means once you've established a stock of Blood Peppers the original way (Dalamud Popoto Sets via M.Cabbage x D.Tomatos and then Chives via D.Popoto x Pearl Sprouts), that you could replace the D.Tomatos in the Popoto garden with Blood Peppers and ditch out the original Chive garden.
Harvested a bunch of plants that were planted next to Blood Peppers, most of which I figured were a waste of time after realizing that peppers are veggies despite what their seed icon would suggest.
Almond gave Shroud Tea
Flax gave La Noscean Leek
Mandrake gave Azeyma Rose
Nymeia Lily gave Nymeia Lily
Wizard Eggplant gave nothing (two attempts)
I think every veggie crossed with Blood Peppers has yielded nothing, except for those Midland Cabbages.
The only veggies I haven't attempted or seen reported are the rest of the low level ones below eggplants: Millioncorn, Popoto, Paprika, Olive, La Noscean Lettuce, Coerthan Carrot, and Wild Onion.
Cabbages are the highest of the ARR seeds you could gather (excluding Dzemael Tomatoes which come from an unspoiled node), but I think it's a wonder that they were selected to have a crossbreeding result with peppers.
Blood pepper in the pepper/cabbage cross also yeild chives.

Blood Pepper + Garlic Jester = Dalamud Popoto OR Star Anise
I just harvested a bed of Blood Pepper x Midland Cabbage and received some interesting results that I'm not sure what to make of it.
Cross Results:
Blood Pepper > Midland Cabbage = Royal Kukuru & Dalamud Popoto Set
Midland Cabbage > Blood Pepper = Chive
Since it's already known that Blood Pepper x Midland Cabbage is a two-way cross that can produce Chives it threw me off with the other two seeds I received. It got me thinking of how it's possible to obtain two different seeds from the same cross, but on further inspection (so far at least) the Royal Kukuru and Dalamud's obtained were only one-way crosses.
I'm hesitant to add an alternate cross for Blood Pepper x Cabbage because I'm not sure if it's Royal Kukuru or Dalamud Popoto or even both. I'm hoping to get some feedback from everybody! See screenshot for my harvest result. Usual planting order starting with Cabbage and replanted first spot with another Cabbage.

That is rather puzzling - Ive harvested 4 more peppers and 12 cabbages from pepper x cabbage beds since the first and got only chives. I'd assumed if there was a less usefull cross the RNGesus would have bent me over a rammed home a fistfull by now.
Based on the crosses we know a stray glazenut could give that result, was it definatly planted into a clean bed?
Phlange, you're 100% sure you didn't just plant Midland Cabbage seeds in (a) Gardens where Blood Peppers that were cross-bred with other seeds were already growing? Cause it's very odd to get such results.
That's how I felt about Pearl Sprout + Dalamud Popoto.
By far, most of the time, the yield is Chives, but then I had one day where I got a Leek and a Shroud Tea. It makes me think it's either naturally a very low chance of happening, or a server error. Like maybe maintenance in the middle of plant growth messed something up.
I know we're both long-time gardeners in this game, so I find it hard to believe that we would've made a mistake on planting.
