Ready to plant some broombush. I can't find any information anywhere that states what yields to expect (going to use shroud 3). I'm trying to decide whether to plant all 8 using shroud soil or to interplant broombush with almonds using thanalan grade 3 to yield more broombush seeds (but lower the yield on the actual target broombush).

I did read somewhere that glazenuts only yield a single nut no matter what soil is used.

    Any recommendations?

This seems strange given the price on MBs. On Leviathan, Broombush seeds are about 220K each and broombush is 70K. If you only yield 1, it would be better to sell the seeds and buy the broombush.

The difference with the seed is that there is a loop available with the broombush (with almond), so buying seeds could actually yield more broombush in the long run. That and people might actually want the seeds to be able to intercross it to get something else (thav. onion for example).

Yea the seeds are more valuable as they can potentially be used to make more valuable items and can be endlessly looped with little effort. The actual Broombush can't supply you with more than what it can be crafted into.

Ok, I went back and looked - looks like I got Jute from the Mandrakes, but Broombush seeds from the Jute....I've planted this same pattern again, will let you know if I get the same results....tho I hope not, I have a Broombush loop going in another bed. need more Jute!
You probably planted the Jute while there were still other plants up. Crossbreed results are determined at the time of planting which is why generally you will want to wait for the entire plot to be empty to make sure you can completely control the potential results. Plant things in a clockwise or counterclockwise manner and remember that when you plant a seed it needs to be next to something the moment you plant it in order for it to have a chance at breeding.

OK. Thanks everyone for the info. I got the broombush using almond <> Nymeia lily. The almond matured before the lily so I've harvested that for the broombush seeds. Next I'll plant almond between the still growing Nymeia and then plan the broombrush in those spots once the Nymeia is harvested.

Sucks only having one garden. I'd like to get my glazenuts going, as well as raise some minions, etc.

*sigh* So, I am trying the Broombush/Sylkis cross for Thav Onions and for the past 2 weeks, the Sylkis is yeilding NOTHING but Shroud Tea....the Broombush is still growing, but I've only rec'd 1 Thav seed from Broombush harvests....am I just unlucky, or doing something wrong? And does it matter if Broombush starts in slot 1 or Sylkis starts in slot 1? I feel like I'm wasting so much Thanalan Soil....

I've finally got enough Thav onion seeds to start planting. Any recommendations on what to pair it with and soil type? I know there's no loop for it currently.
