Talking about colouring food, I find this post here a bit unsettling.

But I don't want to start any panic, after all I haven't been able to log in yet and can't confirm anything atm.

It's confirmed. I ran out of seals so asked my FC leader if he could grab the last 3 seeds i needed. He couldn't trade them over, so i gave him the soil and let him to the planting xD Mrs is playing on the PS4 atm, but i'll post my plant order later.

For personal reference for grow time - Planted @ roughly 14.39pm 19/08/2014 GMT, soil used to increase yield grade 3.

in German it says the colour of your chocobo goes mor into the dirction of: red, faint blue, violett, green, blue and yellow. So I would assume that is right (seeing as the say that the colour goes int a direction and not just changes) the direct words are:
Ger: Wenn du deinen Chocobo mit dieser Frucht fütterst, wird sein Gefieder violetter.
Eng: If you feed your chocobo with this fruit it's feathers become morle violett(purple?)
But of course it could still be that it is a one step Change.

In french we have :
apple => Dark Red
plum => Light Blue
pear => Dark Green
valfruit => Garnet
berry => Dark Blue
pineapple => Yellow

Planted valfruit, cieldalaes, doman, and xelphatol in between 4 existing thav onions. Time to fertilize & wait.

Wasn't sure if it's single dye output per seed, or multiple like the crappier fruits, so I planted with G3 Thana to see if anything interesting pops up.

e1: 9h after plant, 6x fertilizer rounds they grew to 2nd stage

e2: 25h after plant, 9x fertilizer rounds they reached 3rd stage

Planted one of each of the new chocobo snacks today (two of the +red hue). They were planted in Grade 3 Shroud Soil for increased yield. I'm planning to not fertilize them to see what the base growth time is for these plants. I'll update this post when I find things out.

I planted the chocobo coloring seeds very soon after the NA servers went up roughly 12 hours ago. I only fertilized them several times since then and they're already at their second stage of growth. These grow very fast.

planted 4 X Apples 2 in grade 3 shroud 2 in grade 1 shroud
planted Cieldalaes pineapples all in grade 3 thanalan soil

into stage 2 within 12 hours.
EDIT :: around 24 - 30 hour mark hit stage 3 didnt keep exact time due to real life situations.

These chocobo coloring foods are going to be a small fortune on the market.

This combination has not been reported it seems: Almond + Shroud tea = Pearl Roselle. 4/4 seeds.

Also, dye sprouts moved to another stage in 11 hours or less.
