If they can crossbreed with other stuff for possible future chocobo-raising/breeding items, it might be worth it.Because planting gyashl greens in your garden, tirelessly watering and fertilizing them for 5 days and then having your other FC mates harvest them for themselves is much more convenient than a quick teleport to central shroud to buy a stack that will last me ~2 months.
I hate to say it, but with this one you're way off base with what players want.
You can use the SPREADSHEET on seed intercrossing from here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=sharing#gid=0
On another note: People are still charging over 1 million in our world for Glazenut but the numbers of sellers are starting to pick up rapidly, I for see they should drop in price by lots in the next couple of months. As well as all the house hold items made from them. People here are charge between 1-3 million atm. I conservatively estimate the Glazenut will be worth less than 250k soon.

The only way growing greens would be interesting in any way is if they greens produced were unique and augmented the companion when called upon.
Like Fortified Gysahl Greens (increase pet def and HP), Spicy Gysahl Greens (increase att), Mystic Gysahl Greens (increase magic potency/cure potency) etc etc
There's not enough dirt to go around in comparison to how many tons of seeds I run into on a daily basis. Any chance the availability of soil will be increased? Its rarity kind of ruins the fun out of gardening. No one in my FC even gardens despite it being the most anticipated addition last patch for them because no one can be arsed to go farm the soil for hours or waste their ventures.
Glazenuts went from 2.2M each to 600k each within a week on my server. I was lucky enough to sell 10 of them before the price plummeted by sending a few friendly /tells to some big time crafters. Think perhaps they will go back up with the release of personal rooms/housing?
Grade 3 Thanalan Soil goes between 10k-25k each on my server. Need 8 per garden.Would love another way to get these, since I am not able to be online to hit up the nodes a lot of the time.
-It would be amazing if we could grow special chocobo greens!
Key information about intercrossing for glazenuts was disclosed 3-4 weeks ago. Medium - Large house owners were able to respond quickly, smaller house owners are also now getting to the point where they are harvesting glazenuts. Price on Hyperion is <300k.
I've found that Grade 2 and 3 Thanalan soil are both good for getting the desired crossbreeding results. But does anyone have preference or noticed if Grade 3 is significantly more useful than Grade 2?

Hi guys I just harvested both garden's and here's the results:
A=Almonds SA=Star Anise HG=Halone Gerbera
A HG A
SA X SA
A SA A
I got 3 x Bag of Jute seeds where the SA was planted and 1 x Bag of Broombush seeds where the HG was planted. I was expecting more than 3 jute seeds and 1 broombush seed. I think Almond is a bit weak to crossbreed just with SA, I might use more plants in the intercrossing next time.
1 2 3
4 X 5
6 7 8
This one came out alright ,
Bag of Glazenut seeds at 1 & 3
Bag of Kukuru seeds at 4 & 5
Bag of Apricot Kernels at 7 & 8
Thanks everyone, time to go plant some more jute and Glazenut!

This week's results!
--Tried different soil types this time around - they are color-coded. Grade 3 Thanalan soil is getting costly, so I decided to throw in Grade 2s for the less important gardens. With ample tending/watering, the Grade 2 gardens seemed fine producing the results I wanted. I would still plant the Glazenuts and other important crops in Grade 3 though, just in case!
--Even with the Grade 3 Shroud Soil, I still only obtained 1 Azeyma Rose per Azeyma node.
--Still not getting Glazenut Seeds from the Glazenuts in the Glazenut-Apricot Gardens, only from Apricot.
--Just an interesting note, the Mandrakes took about 4 days to fully mature (with 15 tend/water cycles). Pretty fast. @_@
