i wasn't arguing against adding it.
i was pointing out that anything they can do to keep people here is going to come down to giving them what they want to an extent. molly wanted to point out more info was a want, but it becomes a need when you are trying to keep people in the game. they need to do things that keep people playing and bring more people into the game and to do that they need to add things people actually want.
does the game need auto-attack? no i can argue it doesn't, but it is a want for many people.
does the game need content? it doesn't technically need it as it has content in the game, but we all want to have more stuff to do and content is the way to add that.
that was all i was saying is anything they add needs to be what the players want. no matter what they add if the players do not want it the people will not play it. in this case wants and needs are wants for us and needs for se.

Absolutely not, you know the whining that goes on in ff14. Can you imagine if SE gave out details to stuff like this and had to make last minute changes? There would be a boat load of nerds gone ninja turtle, running up the stairs to smash granny's favorite antique vase collection. SE doesn't want to take the heat for prompting those acts of sheer violence
I want some kinda fricken update on when the hell we can expect to see a PS3 version of this game or any kinda information about it. I know they want to make the game "up to par" but you should also get your game out on the console you said you were designing it for. I cant picture them stopping all development on the PS3 version till the games up to a standard when they said it was already ported and being optimized back in November. It would bring more customers even if only a few at first till the game gets some better press. I like the game and all but I wanted to play it on PS3 like I played XI on PS2.
I don't think any self-respecting game developer would want to associate with such a violent audience. I know I wouldn't.Absolutely not, you know the whining that goes on in ff14. Reality check, Mr. Darkstar. Content is a NEED for MMOs. Not a want. Ask any MMO developer - hell, you could send a tweet to En Masse Entertainment (localization crew for TERA Online) and ask them the question.
I'm sure they'll tell you that content is a must, a requirement, and a necessity. It's one reason why TERA's english localization is being delayed to include the bigger patches that have come out in Korea.
