<L5 Death> looking for skilled and mature players for end-game PvE!

Hello!

<L5 Death> just transferred over from Shiva and we're looking for mature, English speaking and skilled players to join us. L5 is a progress orientated FC with adult players with IRL commitments such as work, studies and families, but we raid with a serious attitude towards beating all the endgame PvE content available.

About us

We just transferred over from Shiva (EU), where the FC was created in early September. Shiva was a fine server except for the fact that about 80% of the population is German speaking, and most the skilled English speaking players were already in FCs. You can imagine how glad we were when we heard about SE giving out free world transfers. So this is a new start for us here in Cerberus!

We currently raid three days a week from 7-10 p.m. Server time, but this is subject to change once more content is available. We also have players running dungeons, gearing alts, getting additional relics etc. almost every day a week.

Hi there just wondering how u feel about taking a lvl 49, i plan on hitting 50 on Saturday when i get back from work, I love to raid but with work its hard to get into a FC as they want a member to raid 4-5.

I am a dedicated raider, have raided in FFXI WoW Rift, had all server first in my guild on WoW so i know not to stand in bad stuff, Fire is not my friend.

q1: do you have a calendar where one can check the scheduled raids? It would be no issue for us to start ~7pm Fridays / Saturdays. Weekdays it will be problematic, at least for me, since I have to be in office at 7:00 am, that would be 4 AM your time.

q2: do you guys have a web site / mumble / TC server?

We are raiding at 7-10 Server Time (I think it's GMT+1) at the moment as most of our players are from GMT+1 to GMT+2 Zones.

a1: No, we don't have a calendar thing yet at least, our website is still under construction as I refuse to use enjin or other free sites like that. About the Friday/Saturday thing, no problem - we don't raid on either of those days.

a2: Like said, website still on it's way - There will be one later when it's more needed. At the moment we don't really need to have a proper application process that would require posting applications on a forum or whatever. Once we get our roster full for CT then it's a different thing. Also yes, we do have a TS server.

We've gotten couple of new Dragoons in the FC, so we're at the moment not looking for any more DRGs. Exceptions can always be made tho, so feel free to contact us if you consider yourself exceptionally good Dragoon or you're willing to level and gear up some other class.

I got booted from this FC today without a word, some of them are lovely people but I fear the leadership fail at listening to members concerns and instilling a sense of community, I'd be very careful about joining this FC.

For anyone interested what is the story here:

Lorgar's girlfriend played a Dragoon in the FC. She was in the FC for about 1½ month, for almost every raid we took her into she was lagging really badly and kept failing constantly. Therefore about couple of weeks ago I decided to not bring her along before her lags are sorted out, brought in one of our other Dragoons who never lags or hardly fails in boss fights. She then tells me that she is disappointed and sad that she isn't invited to raids anymore and that the other Dragoon has taken her place, she also claims that she is not lagging that badly anymore.

-- Okey now rewind to this day. We're doing Titan HM for relics for couple of our new members and some of our alt classes. She keeps dying to plumes and gets hit by the bombs. We manage to kill Titan, she being dead on the floor of course as she lags too much to dodge stuff. After we get out of the instance I whisper her and say that we're taking the other Dragoons with us to Coils instead of her because she clearly can't do Coils (If you can't dodge shit in the Titan fight, you can't do Coils either). She then proceeds to go crazy and plays her victim card (claiming that I keep singling her out for her mistakes, which might be true but only because she simply does them more than anybody else - albeit the lag may be the reason, who knows the truth except her. Then she says "Fuck it" and leaves the FC. I then kick Lorgar (her bf, who would've left the FC anyway), and her best friend who hardly ever showed up for raids anyway (he too would've followed her when online). Also please note that Lorgar here has been a social member the whole time, taking a month to level to 50 and gear up. He never intended to be a raiding member, or at least never said so.

So there you have it. Anyone can make their own judgments on how the situation was handled but the truth is that if you apply into a FC as a raider, you're expected to be able to raid, and not go crazy when replaced by someone who actually can raid properly.

To Lorgar: I know it's your duty to be upset when your girlfriend is upset, but please don't go posting stuff like this on the forum. You can talk to me in game if you have something. Also good luck to you both in wherever you two end up.

Why not talk things out before posting things on a forum? Talk to the person who offended you, do not put drama directly out in the open.
Our leader(s) are trying to rebuild our fc on a new server after our transfer. They are trying to figure out raiding groups / raiding spots. You cannot please everyone as a FC leader.
That's not an easy thing to do. Raging on a forum is easy on the otherhand, and now you're dragging the whole fc in the drama. Seriously, it's not a nice thing to do.
I can understand that you're upset with what happened today, but please, do not take it out on the fc in general.

Not sure what we or other members must have done wrong to you , but don't you think it is kinda unfair to drag our whole fc through the dirt for this ?
I can understood that you might be mad over what happened, but if you have a personal vendetta with someone could you possibly talk it out with this person instead of giving (or trying to give) the fc a bad name ?
Doing stuff like this doesn't affect the person you are mad at or having issues with alone,but it affects other people to : (

I allways lended a helping hand when i can when my time allows it, even when not gaining any benefits it from myself.
Took you with me on titan today trying to carry you through for your relic, unfortunatly we needed some changes through the team setup and only october got her second relic , but we are trying to do this weekly for people.
today our time was up though, so if that is the reason you are mad, i a m sorry for that.

She never told me she wanted out of the group, or i must have missed it. We switched alot of people today on titan setup yes that is true.
At the end she did say she wanted to leave but we asked for her to try 1 more time, we killed titan, the new members got there attunement and october got her 2nd relic; So i don't see what is wrong with that.
I spoke to october recently in game after she left and i don't see what i said wrong to her :3
Anyway let us just leave it at this please, ranting on forums and making other people look bad isn't going to get us anywhere
