Vanity Clothes

While I am glad SE added a dress in for weavers to make, it is extremely disheartening that getting one is next to impossible because it is a 3 star recipe that requires more control and craftsmanship than a weaver who is a fresh 50 has, and one of the materials is gotten from a raid group map.

I'd like to see some more NPC dresses and vanity clothes be added to the crafting logs, preferably simple recipes for early levels. Like maybe a hempen dress or something similar to these npc dresses:





Something casual that isn't as fancy as the spring dress. I'd love to also see some non-class restricted clothing items like moccasins that can be worn by any class.

Not all npc's in limsa who wear it are prostitutes. There's a Roe lady in the markets who wears it, she's just shopping. There's one npc who wanders around the bismarch that wears it as well. The dress is more of a casual dress. Just happens that yes, a lot of the ones wearing it are flirty. But this is a pirate city after all.

The Spring Dresses are insanely expensive right now, the cheapest I saw on Brynhildr server was 1 Million Gil. An FC could buy a house by selling one or two of these. As of right now, I have seen a total of two on our server and I do not expect to see many of these any time soon unless they lower the material costs. There a wonderful idea to add flavor to the game but I have better odds of successfully doing Turn 5 naked than I will getting one of these dresses.

Would it be better if SE make the dress level 50 so your class need to be level 50 before you can use the dress as vanity?
gear level don't need to reflect the recipe level.

As others have said, it requires extensive skill in crafting to make, plus the ingredients are very rare - personally I thought SE was going to make these as event items because the concept art hinted at that. But alas...

It should also be noted its are for female characters only - there is currently no male equivalent, although the sailor costume would possibly be an equivalent, that can be worn by characters of both genders.

It's just an excuse to make people get his ilvl 70 tool/gear etc and "waste time" with the 3-star recipes. Like you said, is stupid to have this kind of requirement for VANITY gear.

I just want to wear a skirt, sir, not a full gryphoskin set pentamelded...
