With the community so on edge, I think that SE are making some in roads to keeping us up to date however, releasing info about the patch with no clear date as to when it is being released is starting to make people more frustrated I think as opposed to the feeling of 'being in touch'.

What I think would be really cool, is to let one of the senior devs or someone in such a role update a formal/informal blog every one or two days. It could say what they are working on or have just finished, a progress bar to the patch even if it just says that they have had a hard time fixing <insert something here>. I think this gives everyone an idea what they are doing, it shows they are actually at work (even though we all know they are) and keeps us somewhat in the loop.

It could even put more of an insight into the difficulties surrounding the task they are doing, which is no small thing. I don't think anyone thinks they have an easy task to do, or they are slacking or whatever, but just knowing stuff is being done and seeing it get closer and closer adds anticipation as opposed to disappointment.

I guess after writing my idea out it sounds less feasible than I first thought, but with the playerbase starting to feel alienated and frustrated at the length of times between posts (and some of them are not exactly juicy) it could alleviate some of the tension maybe?

If you have any thoughts I'd sure like to hear them, and let's 'Like' up any that we feel strongly about and see if we can't SE to notice!
