    ok.. making me go through all the "just bought the game, first time starting it up" stuff, making me think my account got reset.. that was kind if amusing.

    resetting all my settings to default.. somewhat amusing

    DELETING ALL MY GEAR SETS, MACROS, CROSS HOTBARS SETUPS.. is not a joke and just plain mean..

    Did you crash or something? Any kind of damage to the ARR folder in my games? The only ever time I have an issue with it thinking it's my first time logging in is if I have a bad series of crashes (was due to hardware). Gear sets and such are stored in that folder too.

    umm, I didn't screw anything up.. everything was fine last night. logged out, closed game as normal.. get home from work today, everything screwed up

    This folder;

    C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

    Is where all your local data is stored, if this gets corrupted or deleted it'll reset, making a manual backup of this somewhere occasionally will avoid this issue.
