I Want My Chocobo Whistle Back!

I got my Chocobo Whistle a few days ago from Maelstrom and obtained my personal Chocobo. When I tried to use the Whistle in Ul'dah, my Chocobo did not come and on top of that, I got an error message saying that I do not have the Chocobo Whistle. I went back to where I got the Chocobo Whistle in Limsa Lominsa and Maelstrom and they would not give me a replacement whistle.

What do I do to get my Chocobo Whistle back?

Don't worry, it's worked properly - what the whistle does is it is a once-only use item that when used, adds the chocobo as an ability icon to the 'mounts' section of the Actions and Traits menu. To call your chocobo after using the whistle, simply open the Actions and Traits menu, select 'Mounts', and then click on the 'Company Chocobo' icon and drag it to your hotbar. Once it's on your hotbar, simply click the icon whenever you want to ride it (this is also how you use other mounts as well, like the coeurl that came with the Collector's Edition, or the magitek armour you get for completing the main storyline.).
